Who said we weren't getting Surtain?
Hey saint whats your take on on Surtain and Campbell supposedly not wanting to go to the same school.
Yet both are visiting Bama at the same time
Or is that some false info and they both could end up at any of BAMA,UGA or Miami.
Ive not seen LSU in any of Campbell projections .

I frequent the UGA board sometimes and I've noticed that a couple of their posters think we are in it for Otis Reese. Haven't heard a single thing from our side tho.

"Insider" on BOL said today that wasn't true.
I still think Campbell is Georgia bound FWIW.
My hope is we land Surtain and ITS.

Just looked at his highlights and we sure do. How the hell aren't we all on that kid and how does UGA slow play him. Seems like Sabans type. Long, fast, and physical.

Couldn’t recruit his son, if he were hired as an analyst.
We couldn't sign any player from that school from 2 years before thru 2 years after the hire.

The 10th spot is for a TE coach anyway.
ETA: Aka, the Freezus.
Banks has experience coaching TEs & RBs.

Now Boz is saying we aren't hiring Freeze to an on the field position due to the blow back it would cause.
I haz a sad.
Sorry, my friend. I haz a glad. I think he helps us better as analyst, and with way less downside.

He'll be an analyst this year. Was VERY strongly considered for an on-field job, but there was supposedly some blowback from HS coaches about it. Maybe next year.

Have heard that our CB board (of HS players... not counting Savion) was:
1.Campbell
2.Jobe
3.Surtain
4.Armour-Davis
For whatever reason, I don't think they were (at least as of a few weeks ago... this could have changed) as high on ITS as the recruiting sites.
And I'll also mention that this was before Eddie Smith and some of the recent offers came into the picture. Don't know if it changed after seeing Smith's tape. He's a stud pony, though.

Get Stanford's TE coach. Or bring back Lance Taylor. Or Ron Middlelton. Hell, I don't know. Anyone got any names?
ETA - My bad. I thought I was in the coaching thread.

Gotta be honest, surprised we did. Already have 4 DL committed & limited spots left. My guess is we are probably a little too late to get in this race

Quay made it to Tuscaloosa today instead of Athens. FYI. Pretty big news.

If we hold onto Quay and Vernon I'll be happy with our LB haul for the year.
