3-star CB Tre Swilling
Tre’ Swilling has surfaced as one of the premier cornerback targets for both LSU and Alabama, and those two SEC West powers could very well duke it out over the New Orleans native and his brother, Bruce Jordan-Swilling, leading up to National Signing Day.
Swilling, a three-star cornerback from Brother Martin High School (New Orleans), maintains strong ties with Saban, even FaceTiming with the championship-winning coach after practices.
Alabama and LSU both cracked the top schools for Swilling and his brother.
Swilling has a longstanding bond with Juluke and defensive backs coach Corey Raymond. It cannot be overstated how critical those relationships are as the elite cornerback examines all of his options heading into the summer.

5-star OT Alex Leatherwood
The Alabama offensive tackle commit has separated himself from the pack with an impressive spring.
The five-star prospect out of Washington High School (Pensacola, Fla.) has been firmly committed to the Crimson Tide since last June, but has made several visits to LSU since then, including multiple times in the spring.
Leatherwood, who resides just three hours away from the LSU campus, grew up as a fan of the Tigers.
The elite offensive line recruit is expected to be an early enrollee, so he’s taking this part of the year to further evaluate his options.
Leatherwood told SEC Country he will consider LSU after making multiple stops at the school and developing a bond with offensive line coach Jeff Grimes. Playing time is one of the most important factors for the tackle, who hopes to finalize a decision by December.

4-star Safety Todd Harris
A bit of a surprise here, but the nation’s No. 6 safety cracks the list because of what may transpire this summer.
Todd Harris is considered an LSU lean, and for good reason.
He has made several visits to the campus this spring, for junior events, spring practices and the spring game, and has developed a strong bond with Raymond and an affinity for his coaching style.
Ole Miss and Mississippi State are both in the mix for Harris. As is Alabama, which is a school the Plaquemine (La.) High School product hopes to visit and eventually reel in an offer from.
The Tigers lead … for now. But if, in fact, the Crimson Tide does offer, expect this to instantly become an LSU-Alabama battle for the prized safety prospect.

4-star OG Ed Ingram
Edward Ingram was supposed to be on hand for Alabama’s A-Day last month before a visit to LSU was extended and culminated in a commitment.
The four-star offensive guard fell in love with LSU’s campus and sees himself contributing early on.
While the Texas native may be committed now, expect Alabama to amp up its pursuit of him later on down the line.

3-star ATH Kaymen Cureton
One of the more interesting prospects to crack the list is San Jose State quarterback commit Kaymen Cureton.
The three-star California athlete picked up an offer from LSU in March, and weeks later earned one from the defending national champs.
Cureton has the option of playing on either side of the ball at LSU, as Raymond offered him as dual-threat quarterback but would also envision the three-star prospect playing safety for him in the secondary.
Cureton is viewed as an athlete for Alabama’s purposes, so it’s up to the quarterback which position he wants to pursue and where he would like to pursue it.
The Californian grew up as a fan of LSU and remains high on the Tigers, Tide and South Carolina, despite being committed to an in-state school.
If in fact Cureton decommits, count on LSU and Alabama being out in front of his recruitment.

This fall Nashville (Tenn.) Davidson Academy offensive tackle Obinna Eze will take the first varsity football snap of his life. When he does it, the senior will be doing it as a four-star prospect. The 2015 season was Eze's first playing football and he was relegated to JV due to transfer rules. The way he has developed since that first season has been remarkable and now Eze is a Top247 prospect on 247Sports with a four-star grade.
A former basketball player that stands at 6-foot-8 and weighs in at 263 pounds, Eze has freakishly long arms and extremely quick, light feet. His pass set has been a work in progress but he has improved rapidly throughout the spring. At The Opening Columbus Regional, I could make a strong case that Eze was the best offensive lineman in attendance and that event featured three of the top 12 offensive linemen in the country.
Eze's new ranking slots him as the No. 29 offensive tackle in the country. It's a roll of the dice to rank Eze this high before a varsity season but it's one I'm confident in because of how competitive he is and how eager he is to learn. The physical side of the game will be a question mark but he hasn't shown any hesitation to engage during a camp setting and if he improves as rapidly from a leverage and run-blocking standpoint as he has from a pass-set standpoint, he'll be dominant quickly.
The offer list for Eze has ballooned through the spring. Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee and Mississippi State are among his offers and he's tight lipped about a favorite. Alabama has received a Crystal Ball prediction, Tennessee is in the game and Memphis could quietly be a real factor in his recruitment as well.

Alabama has extended offers to five-star receiver Joseph Lewis and four-star athlete and Arizona commit Greg Johnson from Los Angeles (Calif.) Hawkins, according to Hawkins Football Twitter account.
Lewis, a 6-foot-1, 207-pound prospect, is rated the No. 2 receiver and the No. 9 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. With offers from almost every major program, it's USC that holds the majority of 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions at 100 percent.
Johnson, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect, is rated the No. 2 athlete and the No. 74 overall player in the country. He committed to the Wildcats back in March over offers from Cal, USC and Michigan, among many others.

With the spring and summer months representing a crucial time in the recruiting calendar, schools from around the country are grinding on the recruiting trail in hopes of securing a top class in the 2017 cycle.
A quick glance at the 247Sports team rankings shows that 15 of the current Top 25 rated classes have at least 10 commitments in them—including Ohio State’s top-rated collective.
While a number of touted prospects have already committed, there are still a handful of elite talents various programs are coveting who could end up being the centerpieces to their respective groups.
The upcoming season could help the nation’s top programs acquire the momentum necessary to land the recruits at the top of their boards.
Using the Top 25 preseason composite rankings compiled by Bleacher Report’s Justin Ferguson, let’s take a look at each Top 25 program’s dream recruit in the 2017 cycle.

1. Alabama: 5-star CB Shaun Wade
Current Commits/National Class Rank: 9/3
Experts in recruiting circles are running out of adjectives to describe what Alabama has accomplished on the recruiting trail under head coach Nick Saban.
Considering Alabama currently has the nation’s No. 3 class, The Tide are within striking distance to land their seventh consecutive No. 1 group.
One position that Saban and his staff have consistently landed difference-makers is at the corner position.
One target that has their attention is 5-star corner Shaun Wade—who is currently committed to Ohio State.
Wade made it to Tuscaloosa for one of the Tide’s junior days earlier this year, and as BamaOnline’s Hank South reported, there’s confidence that the Tide have a realistic shot to pull off a flip.
If that scenario comes to fruition, the Tide would have a great shot to once again claim the No. 1 spot on signing day.

What's up fellow Tide brother's? Been a lurker on here for a few yrs so I already feel like I know you guys. This is the best recruiting board info on the net. I know we say this every yr, but this looks like it could be Saban's best class. You guys have entertained me over the yrs with all the trash talking to getting the boot. Lol As far as the commits I love Gary Johnson ( he is a freak! ) Can't believe we got Tua! I was pissed when fromm decommited, cause I didn't think we would get a highly ranked qb. I love his skill set. He is highly accurate with a good arm, and can run. Don't have to explain Harris, just hope we can hold on to him. Leatherwood is an animal, and will be top 10 in the country. We will sign 5 of Devonte Smith, Jeudy, Thomas, Collins, Ruggs, and Guidry. I feel sorry for opposing defenses, no I don't. Lol Lb class will nasty again. Cowan, Allen, Ignot, maybe Moses ( think he's a little overrated. ) I hope we offer Monty Rice, dude is severely underrated. We will flip Shaun wade from Ohio state. I hope to god we get Wilson or Shelvin. I love the juco dl tart spencer. We will get Labryan Ray, who dominated the camps this spring. Safety looks like we will get Gray. Looking forward to chatting it up with you guys this yr! It will be a great year, ROLL TIDE!

Welcome to the board! Warm hugs.

Welcome.
We would need a Composite score of 320 points on 247 to have Saban's best class. We would need to hit on almost all of our top targets for that to happen. It should be one hell of a class regardless.

I hope that you're right. Welcome to the board.

Thanks guys! Yeah 320 will be hard to beat, but it's doable. We'll atleast get 313, which is incredible. If we hold on to harris and Leatherwood that's 2 5 stars. Devonte Smith is pretty much a lock to be a 5 star. Jeudy, thomas are probably going to end up 5 stars. Chris allen has a good shot, and if we get either wilson or shelvin that's another. Wilson and davis are 5 stars (we'll get 1 of them. ) Shaun wade is a 5. Plus if we get moses that's another. Really good chance we get atleast 6 5 stars,if not 7.
