I think the recruiting sites only know what offers the kid has based on the ones he reports. He could very well have more offers, but not mentioned them since he was 100% committed to us.
I really hate this. The black eye that we are going to get from it is well deserved.

Bama3714 mentioned something about Cole grayshirting a few days back so it's hard for me to believe that Cole just found out.

It's commonplace under Saban, most players take offence to the offer.
Guys like Christian Bell didn't, he realized he wanted to be at Bama and spent his time getting more prepared for college.
It's still a scholarship at the end of the day, they are just asking him to put off enrollment 3-6 months. It's the antsiness of leaving home and instant gratification doing the talking in these instances.
And several times with these offers, if they would have just stuck around, roster turnover would have allowed them to enroll regularly...

I agree 100% Chatta. This whole thing could have been avoided if the school offered with a contingency up front.

Yea I doubt he just found out. He just probably didn't think it was a possibility or that they would wait this long to tell him.

Biggest news from the BOL nuggets:
-Mique Juarez's father loves everything that Alabama is pitching to them. His mother will be the only obstacle because she wants him closer to home but it won't be a deal breaker if Mique wants to go to Alabama. BOL also said had Alabama entered the picture earlier this would have been a 'slam dunk' for Alabama.
Other prospects Alabama feels great about according to BOL:
Josh Jacobs
Shyheim Carter
Terrell Hall
Mykel Jones
Irvin Smith
No mention of Mack Wilson or Ben Davis but Hank and Tim have been saying for awhile that they believe both will be in crimson.
Others to monitor:
D'Vaughn Pennamon - Alabama/OM/A&M battle. Nobody knows for sure what he will do but many think he stays close to home and commits to the Aggies
Nigel Knott - Alabama/OM battle could go either way with decision coming tomorrow
Derrick Brown - Alabama/Auburn battle with AU feeling cautiously optimistic
Michail Carter - Alabama/UGA battle all the way to NSD. UGA will push hard if they lose out on Derrick Brown
Scott Lashley - Alabama/State battle with Alabama having to make up a little bit of ground but he is not a lock to State.
Devin Asiasi - Alabama/Michigan/USCw battle. With Irvin Smith likely signing with Alabama BOL is unsure if we will take a 4th TE. We may take him as a DE though.
Mitchell Wasson - Alabama/UGA/Rutgers battle. Rutgers will be the favorite if they offer. Otherwise he'll walk on at Alabama or UGA.
Demetris Robertson is torn and his recruitment will go past NSD as he has more OV's to take.
UA made a great impression on LSU WR Commit Drake Davis but Les locked him up with an in home visit.

I wonder if the Riley Cole stuff is some sort of indication about how we feel about Juarez. A LB class of Davis, Wilson and Juarez with Hall at Jack would be ridiculous.

Nothing on A.J. from BOL. They did say they felt Mykel Jones is leaning toward Alabama so that may indicate how we feel about A.J. but who knows at this point. The next few days will be exciting and very stressful.

Not sure why everyone is convinced Terrell Hall is playing Jack. He's a WSDE in our system at 270 which he has the frame to hold and maintain speed. Like Jon Allen

Im also wondering about Tyler Simmons. The fact that he took a visit to Miami while admitting it would piss off our staff doesn't exactly give me warm fuzzies on keeping his commitment.

I wonder if Josh Perry has been put on notice as well, especially if the OM writers were correct that Carter is going to commit to them soon.
