re: Class of 2016 Recruiting MEGATHREAD: Waiting On Demetris Robertson Edition

Had someone told me to write a script for this past couple recruiting weekends and this board, it would have looked identical to how it's playing out. Incredibly predictable. There was 100 percent certainty that an OM writer or two would talk about how they're suddenly feeling good about landing Brown (about 10 minutes upon him being on campus). And a 100 percent chance there would be a Bama fan meltdown over it. It really is worse than a woman on her period with all of the rollercoaster-ing of emotions going on. But it was the easiest thing in the world to predict.

Of where his recruitment stands overall, Simmons said, "I'm mainly committed to Alabama right now, but I'm looking at Miami. And Georgia is still heavily recruiting me too (he visited there officially earlier this month), so we'll see how that goes."

Simmons says ... assuming he goes ahead with the visit plans ... that he'll take the UM trip with his father and stepmother.

Another name that wouldn't surprise me if we sign him is Kobe Jones. He's viewed as a really good player with excellent upside. Any other year, he'd probably be one of the most coveted DL recruits in the country. But this class is so loaded with DL guys that he gets overshadowed.

- I don't believe we have enough relationship to get Derrick Brown he seems to be going to aubrewns.

- I believe Michail Carter wants to go to UGA, if only UGA could get Brown it would push him to us.

- I don't even believe R.Gary is going to visit, even if he did whatever negative recruiting Harbaugh and the plainsmen did? Worked. Tremendously

- Jeffery Simmons, seems to like us, but he seems all Ole Miss. Same for Pennamon who is already committed there.

- Jack Jones is all USC

- Landon Dickerson could join but he probably will be leaning FSU due to us already taking two top tackles.
