I wonder if Oklahoma and his coach kept him under wraps for a reason.

I don't think they did. They weren't listed as recruiting him. Oklahoma State had some small interest prior to the season (according to what's posted online about him). I could be wrong, but I think they are just recently getting wind of him just like we are.

To be honest, they're not a good program for us to be matched up against. They have very persuasive ways over there (UCLA). I guess better them than USC, but still... it's amazing how many UCLA signees wind up as extras on movie sets in Hollywood.

Lol. Good grief. Recruiting is out of hand when there on constant updates on the percentages of a recruit making his final visit to one school or the other. Ridiculousness. Hopefully he makes it to campus. Might give us a tiny puncher's chance.

I think the fact he is committed to Ole Miss, just came off a visit with us, and now is announcing during the dead period bodes well for us. Why would you need to announce if already committed. You can bet the full court press will be on him this weekend in Oxford.

SIAP, but I read where Bama is looking at getting another white WR transferring in. This time from the big receiver that from Bowling Green that torched UT this year.

One of Rodney Orr's sources isn't too optimistic on Pennamon. Says that loyalty is a big deal to him. I've not heard any new info on him from anyone else.
Considering what a terrible year it is nationally for RBs, if we could pull in Emmons and one of two between Pennamon and Jacobs, I'd be ecstatic. That would be a bonanza.

I'm still nervous about Emmons qualifying. That would be three nonqualifiers at RB in three years.
