Saban said "recruiting" four times on the second question he took this morning.

Saban sure didn't sound like he wanted to retire or take another job. (Knock on wood)

He sounded as pumped as I have heard him in years.

He really seems like he is starting to have more fun coaching. He even smiled after the on sides kick. He's the same coach, but it's like he views things differently now. He's more fatherly or something to the guys. I can't explain it, he's just different, and I think it's given him a new spark.

In what surely will sound like The Most Lane Kiffin Thing Ever, Kiffin walked out of the University of Phoenix Stadium on Monday night only to see the team's four buses pulling away. Kiffin was in mid-sentence, talking about his relationship with Alabama QB Jake Coker — "My bus is leaving," Kiffin said. "That's not good."

First, I get fired on the tarmac, and now I get left behind at the national championship," Kiffin said, half-jokingly.

I wonder if Adonis Thomas will have any kind of role next year.

That shows you how spoiled we are as Alabama fans (and yet another benchmark of how mind-blowingly good Nick has been at recruiting). At one of the lesser programs, a recruit like Adonis Thomas would be on the cover of their media guide. Here, he's kind of an afterthought. "Oh yeah, we have Adonis, too."

So true because I totally forgot about that kid. Forgot about Christian Miller for the entire season until the Mississippi State game.

Does anybody know the Desherrius Flowers situation? Does he have to graduate from junior college because he didn't initially qualify?

Do you know if there is any chance he can do so in time to enroll by Fall? With Drake and Henry (most likely) gone, it seems like we could really use the RB depth.

If he has to stay at junior college for 2 years, I highly doubt that he will sign with us again.

I really think losing helped Alabama's fan base and Saban as a coach. The fans needed to see, especially the insane segment, that losing wasn't the end of the world. It allowed them to appreciate the winning more. I love that Saban has won 4 of the last 7 and if he doesn't win another one that is just fine with me. Can't take the ones we have. Roll Tide.

Former #Tide commit LB Jaquan Yulee says the Tide still remain his top choice.

But is his dad aware that there are more LB prospects out not named Jaquan Yulee?

I still want him in the class, just drop some weight like most of the recent LB commits before him. Reuben dropped weight, as did SDH. And they are both much more mobile for it, hell they bring SDH off the edge now.

That, or he ends up at FB or like Petey Smith and gone...

Tosh was extremely high on Bama's chances to land Asiasi a few months ago. But I've heard nothing new on him in a good while.

Saban is going to be on a torrid pace to finish out recruiting. He's fired up.
