My guess is that Saban tries to hire Kevin Sherrer. Great coach and up for National Recruiter of the Year. He's a Saban guy.

I was hoping he'd follow Pruitt, but seems like he's happy being retained by Smart. Gonna kick him inside to ILB coach from what it sounds like.
He's gonna be a DC soon enough, mirroring Pruitt's career. Wouldn't be shocked if he ends up as UGA's after a season or two.

I'm gonna guess Sal. I don't know if it's even a possibility, but I'm sure people would have a lot of mixed feelings about it

Why? I thought Sal was great while he was here.

Seems like there are some people that don't like him. I'm not sure why, I thought he did a good job here.

All I know about is the talk he butted heads with Saban in the past, over both being too controlling and about Vinnie and leaving early.

If Saban came calling, he'd listen. I'm not guaranteeing he'd come, but there's a really good chance he will.

Man I would love to be a Bama coach. Coach one year then be a head coach or assistant somewhere else

Tyler Vaughns, a four-star USC commit from Bishop Amat High School (La Puente, Calif.), told SEC Country after Thursday’s practice at the U.S. Army All-American bowl what the chances were of him flipping to Alabama.
“They are good. It’s Alabama. It’s a big, sexy school,” Vaughns said. “They put a lot of receivers into the league. It’s just good to get a look out there.”
The 6-foot-2, 177-pounder will take an official visit to Alabama on Jan. 21. Before he seriously considers backing off his commitment to Southern California, Vaughns has some things he needs to figure out.
“I have so many unanswered questions that I need to find out,” he said. “The school. How they would use me and how the school is for my major (business communications.).”
Vaughns, who has been committed to USC since August, had a big smile on his face when he was asked about his interest level in the Crimson Tide.
“Who wouldn’t be interested in Alabama?” he said. “The coaches hit me up almost every day. That’s a really cool little thing. I have talked to coach Saban before, and he really doesn’t talk to that many people. That’s how I knew he was interested in me.
“(Saban) told me that he wants me to play for him,” Vaughns said. “I was just shocked to talk to him. Like I said, not too many people get to talk to him. Just to hear him talk to me and to hear how he wants me was good. I was just really in awe.

Legit interest or California kids gonna California?

Just another kid trying to justify the Alabama hat on the table. Other coaches love it when they pick their teams hat over an Alabama hat, because the reporters then run with the "___________ picked (school y) over Alabama" and any other school who had a hat there.

Devin Asiasi not OVing to Alabama in January:

I'm kind of so-so on this news.
quote:
“I decided to talk with my parents about it and we decided that it’s best for me to change it because I already visited Alabama twice,” Asiasi said. “I haven’t been to Michigan before and I’d like to see how it is. I just want to make sure I am not missing anything when I make my decision.”
With his decision to longer visit Alabama, would that mean that he is no longer considering the Crimson Tide?
“Hell no!” Asiasi emphatically said. “They’re still in my top. It’s still a good school and I have already seen them twice. I have a good idea of how they are and how they handle their business.”
After giving the news to Alabama outside linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi Wednesday night, the two of them discussed the possibility of rescheduling the trip.
“He’s trying to fit in another visit,” Asiasi said of Lupoi’s plans. “We need to talk about it more, but he’s trying to see if I can come in mid-week.”
Alabama, along with USC, Michigan, Washington and UCLA, are the schools Asiasi is primarily focused on right now.
If National Signing Day was today, Asiasi knows the reason why he would choose the Crimson Tide.
“It’s one of the top premier schools,” he said. (Alabama tight end) O.J. (Howard) is probably leaving (to the NFL draft). I think the best way to get used to the system is actually being in game situations and putting myself out there. I think it would be a good choice for me.”

Thanks for letting me on the board guys
. I am really excited about watching Kendell Jones in your defense. LSU fans seem to feel confident about Rashard Lawrence. Any thoughts that he may end up with the Tide?

We got a few CBs for Shyheim Carter.
Dontavious Jackson has gotten a few to FSU.

I think OJ is going to be a really good pro. The NFL is so pass happy now that he won't have to block a lot.

Unless we can make a late surge, I don't see Rashard Lawrence ending up in our class.
I am amazed at how your president and AD made Les practically a lame duck coach, yet his recruiting hasn't suffered at all. Quite impressive.

It's truly ridiculous. I would have imagined that every commit was going to be poached

Chatta I see just based on the crystal ball predictions it looks like Georgia is the only real "threat" for Shyheim Carter. Is that right?

UGA was a big threat for Carter because of Pruitt. I think he decommitted from Alabama because Pruitt convinced him to do so. (Back when Pruitt worked there)
I see Ole Miss as a big threat. For whatever reason, we don't have much success going up against OM for highly ranked kids compared to other teams.

He's a good blocker though, he has came on this year. Now if Hentges can follow the same path, as he's been atrocious in his first year blocking.
Scouts have seen lazy/sloppy routes from him though...
