The legacies not only helped out because they were very good coming out of HS but they recruited very hard for the classes they were in.

Combine no real legacies in this class with recruits are getting tired of the pitch by CBJ we are rebuilding brick by brick and next year will be the next. I know everyone talks about their almost wins this year and how they could have won 10 games or more but almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades. Good teams win the close games and UT seems to struggle meaning they are not a good team yet.

I would expect 10rc to contend for the East next year.

I don't and at best finish 3rd and see Jones going on the hot seat by season end when they struggle to win 7 or 8 again. I see home games against UA and UF as losses and their road game at UGA a loss as well. I could them losing 1 or 2 against VT and/or road games st USC and aTm.

UF and UGA will battle for the east. JMO

It's amazing how things change in college football in a relatively short amount of time.

8-10 years ago we would be gearing up for some shitty bowl while L5U played for championships.

Now they are playing in the Texas Bowl and we are chasing our 4th title in 7 seasons.

Feels fricking great.

Just saw a clip of Deonte Brown taking it to and holding his own against Rashan Gary. Brown will be a good one.

We may have our 2nd RB in this year's class. We just offered him today and Brian Perroni has already CB'd him to us.

Darius Anderson Highlights

He ran the ball 263 times as a Senior for 2,274 yards and 30 TDs. That's 8.6 yards per carry.

He also caught 13 passes for 283 yards and 2 TDs.

I haven't watched his film yet, but he has good size at 5'11" 195 pounds.

More on Anderson:

- He decommitted from Missouri last week.
- TCU offered today as well.
- He was teammates with Xavian Marks last year.
- He led his team to the Texas 5A State Championship.

Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola three-star cornerback Carlos Becker who stole the show. The 6-2, 185-pounder was outstanding in the secondary and showed why some top-tier programs are hot in his trail late in his recruitment.

Becker showed terrific technique in the secondary, was able to flip his hips with ease, and looked like a natural cornerback. With his height, physicality, and ball skills, Becker has the chance to be special at the next level. He also found his hands on the football multiple times, while adding a few pass breakups and an interception off quarterback Malik Henry.

I've never heard of this kid until now. His CBs are mostly for North Carolina State and Florida State. I wonder if we will start to recruit him now.

Next Five Offense

2. WR A.J. Brown:
The standout wide receiver was easily the best route runner on Team Highlight. Saying his routes were smooth would simply be an understatement. He caught the ball well and did a good job of snagging it away from his body.

Top Five Defense

5. LB Ben Davis:
Between he and Jeffrey McCulloch, it’s hard to find two more physically impressive, college-ready linebackers. Davis got the slight edge today due to his ability to play in coverage and show off his outstanding lateral quickness. For as big as Davis is, he moves like a defensive back.

Superlatives

Running Backs

— Running back Devwah Whaley stood out today with his tough inside running. Whaley doesn’t waste energy dancing, he did a great job at finding the hole and exploding into the secondary. His legs looked fresh and he caught the ball well out of the backfield when called upon.

— B.J. Emmons is deceptively quick for a back that goes 5-foot-11, 220-pounds. He provides a nice change of pace for Team Highlight that is made up mostly of smaller, faster backs.

Receivers/Tight Ends

— Baylor wide receiver commit Devin Duvernay nearly made the top performers list. He showed clean route running and had no issues getting open.

— Not a great day for wide receiver Dredrick Snelson. He showed inconsistencies in catching the football and struggled to separate from defensive backs.

— Miami wide receiver commit Dionte Mullins had an up-and-down day. He was able to get open a lot, but the quarterbacks missed high at times. He had the occasional drop, but also showed an ability to stretch the field for deep receptions.

— Similar to Mullins, Oregon wide receiver commit Eddie McDoom looked good at times and looked average at others. He had a few drops, but was able to run smooth routes. He also made a few guys miss in the open field.

— Naseir Upshur: The Florida State commit showed good hands. Nothing flashy on the day, but didn’t have any issues with drops.

— Wide receiver Keith Gavin did not participate due to a separated shoulder.
