Grier

He made some clutch throws and converted crucial 4th downs to pull out a win against Tennessee, and had a great game against Ole Miss where the whole team played out of their minds. Other than that, he was really pretty so-so. Not sure that he'd be an upgrade for us next year other than having game experience.

Wouldn't he have to sit out a year and then also sit out six games to complete the NCAA suspension?

Sports Illustrated Cover. I think it might be regional where each team has a cover. does that mean the SI curse covers all four teams?

Yes, was waiting for this. They called Mark Dantonio, Mike on the Mich State one.

With this cover, all of Alabama's starting RBs have been featured on a sports illustrated cover since Coffee in 2008.

From Weagle25 on the Auburn recruiting thread:

quote:

Top 10 most wanted from 247:
1. Derrick Brown- AU trending
2. NCM- Auburns confidence is rising. UF is falling off. FSU and UNC also in it.
3. Willie Allen- Very unclear who's actually in contention
4. Rashan Gary- Uphill battle
5. Ahmmon Richards- Auburn is feeling optimistic
6. Ben Davis- Alabama

7. Landon Young- UK commit. Have to get him to visit to have a chance
8. Landon Dickerson- FSU, AU, UT are leaders
9. Karamo Dioubate- Pretty solid to PSU
10. Rahshaun Smith- Auburn is 4th
10. Tre Nixon- UF is leading

Derrick Brown is going to Alabama or UGA.

Ahmmon Richards is all Bama.

The rest I agree with.

#Scout100 #Alabama RB commitment BJ Emmons just broke the ice in the 79th annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. 7-0 NC over SC early on.

I can't find any stats for him yet.

The game is streaming on ESPN 3 and still in 3rd qtr. He just broke off a decent run where he lost part of his jersey as they ripped part of it off trying to tackle him and almost scored on a reception where he juked and then ran through some guys. He is all 220lbs right now.

Nice. Is it still looking good for him to qualify?

North Carolina will win the 2015 Shrine Bowl 54-39 over South Carolina. Emmons was the victors' late workhorse in the win.

Relationships play a big factor for Askew, and he has a strong one with Pruitt. That benefits Alabama, which recently hired Pruitt to be the school's defensive coordinator.

New Georgia head coach Kirby Smart didn't recruit Askew hard when he was Alabama's defensive coordinator. Askew said that their relationship was "OK" but offensive line coach Mario Cristobal had been his primary recruiter. He didn't make any trips to Tuscaloosa this year as a recruit. Now, expect the relationship with Askew and Alabama to intensify.

"He's going to recruit me hard and now that he's in Tuscaloosa, my mom and dad definitely love it," Askew said. "They were screaming when they heard he was definitely back. That relationship was definitely bigger than it was with Coach Smart."

quote:

"If you were to rank them again, Clemson would obviously be the No. 1, I guess. They're recruiting me harder than probably anybody in the country. That's great. They're the No. 1 school in the country, so why not be recruited by the best? I hope they continue to recruit me. My parents loved it and I want to get back up there and check out the dorms."

Askew also mentioned LSU, Ole Miss and Florida, and said he has a strong relationship with Duke assistant Derek Jones along with LSU's Kevin Steele, Florida's Geoff Collins and Sean Callahan and all of Ole Miss' staff.
