From ellitor on the AU recruiting thread:

A long way to go but FWIW Rusty Mansell of UGA 247 says AU is likely the team to beat right now for Derrick Brown.

From some dude on BOL. TIFWIW:
quote:
Was hanging out with a couple of starting DB's last weekend and I asked them a few questions and gained some insight on the team. Allen has said he's coming back, cam sims is frustrated over playing time, hootie is soft, anfernee Jennings is a monster in practice, Ronnie Clark is a good transfer possibility...

IF, and it's a huge IF, Robinson/Allen came back that'd be huge. The DL will be good next year, but lacking a bit of depth. IF those two returned (I can't believe it unless it happens) that solves that depth "issue".

If both of them return, that would be the biggest recruiting haul of the year, and would make the difference between a Capital One bowl and another playoff appearance.

I hope Tim Williams stays. Getting him more reps next season taking on devall's reps will be huge.

Tim Williams probably has the most to gain by coming back. He's probably a third rounder right now, but if he proves he can be an every down linebacker, he could very well end up in the top half of the first round.

D'Vaughn Pennamon, OM RB commit, will OV January 22.
Sounds like our RB board (in no order) is Pennamon, Rasul, and maybe Perine (if we can get him to visit).

SEC Country asked Derrick Brown directly if a Friday report stating Auburn was in the lead for his services was true. Georgia’s No. 1 prospect had plenty to say about “sources” in regard to his recruitment.
First, he strongly denied the Auburn report. Then offered advice.
Brown, a 5-star defensive tackle from Lanier High School (Buford, Ga.), took an official visit to Alabama last weekend, but he says not one school holds an advantage over the next.
“Don’t believe anything unless it’s coming from my mom or dad’s mouth or mine,” Brown said.
SEC Country caught up with Brown shortly after his Alabama visit, and he told us that he will not name a leader before making his commitment.
“My leader will be the school I commit to on National Signing Day,” Brown said.
The trip to Alabama was the first one since early April for the nation’s No. 3 defensive tackle. While his visit to Tuscaloosa did increase Alabama’s chances of landing him, again, all of the schools he is considering are even.
“The visit put them in a better place for me,” Brown said. “That’s for sure. The state of the program is great. I enjoyed getting to sit down and talk with (Alabama defensive line coach Bo) Davis. Being able to hang out with (Alabama defensive lineman) Jonathan Allen was really cool, too.”
The 6-foot-4, 318-pounder has official visits set up to UGA on Jan. 15, Auburn on Jan. 22 and Tennessee on Jan. 29. In addition to the Alabama official visit, Brown took one to his parents’ alma mater, Mississippi State, on Nov. 28.
One of those five schools will land him on Feb. 3, 2016, which is when Brown will announce where he’ll play college football.

I just read an article that said Hugh Freeze talked on the phone with Little's mom every day. That's some dedication right there.

Also read on the UF247 board that Nate Craig-Myers and his brother are now interested in OM. I know we were after them for a good bit, but it doesn't appear that we made any headway.

Wow seems like majority of LSU posters have given up on Dylan Moses. When did this flip happen? I always thought we had a great shot at him because he loves Saban and Alabama but was told that he was rock solid to LSU.

That's is if he learns how to stop the run, otherwise he'll still split with someone.

I was also reading the FSU board looking for info on any of our recruits, and some of them think Jimbo came up with "the process".
