How? It's dead period and he's an EE. I guess they could just blow up his phone.
They could have been recruiting him hard already, seeing as they don't have a QB commit.

Of course, and it may affect his decision now that the spot is wide open, but all we can do is hope he's sold on Bama.
It being the dead period definitely helps.

I thought Hurts was going to be an early enrollee.

He is, I would be surprised if he went to A&M though. That situation is deep over there, and it's not like the 2 QB's that transferred were backups, they were starters.

Hurts leaving would be the cherry on top of the shite sundae that's been Bama recruiting this month.

From what I can gather from 247, Kevin Sumlin did an in-home visit with Hurts last weekend.

Don't know. I wouldn't worry about it, though. Losing him would be VERY unlikely at this point.

He stated that Hurts Dad say he is firm.

Texas A&M’s quarterback situation is in disarray after two former 5-star recruits, Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray, announced their intentions to transfer from the program.
That has left the Aggies scrambling to find a quarterback in the 2016 recruiting class to fill a massive roster spot. It just so happens that one of the nation’s top dual-threat quarterbacks is only around a two-hour car ride away, and it looks like Texas A&M is making a late move for him.
According to Taylor Hamm of 247Sports.com, Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin had a previously unreported in-home visit with Alabama quarterback commit Jalen Hurts from Channelview, Texas.
Now this report won’t come as a surprise to Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban. Reportedly, the Alabama staff knew this visit was going to take place.
The 4-star quarterback committed to Alabama over Texas A&M in June. Hurts will be an early enrollee, which means he will start college in January.

From a poster on BOL about Fromm:
First time poster so TIFWIW.

First,I want to clear up a few things about Emerson Fromm he was not a long time friend of Kirby and him leaving has no barring on Jake coming to Bama. His dad is all Bama!!!!!!! These are facts. The Fromm family did grow up dawg fans until they came to T-Town.They said no comparison and it was the real deal.He said that he would have never believed it was that big of a difference in the two.All I can say is he will be at Bama barring something crazy and I know because I am very good friends of the family.I tailgated with the family at every game Jake visited. I live about 15 miles from them,so I know what I am talking about.FYI also he texted me when Hartley from GA was in their house last week meeting with Jake and he responded back to me with a RTR.I also want to say this kid will rival Barrett Jones with quality of person and student too.

I'm not the one to ask, as I have a skeptical view on any prospects from MS. I am going to say very little chance while 3714 will come in and say we have a very good shot. The truth probably lies somewhere between me and 3714.

There is another article on BOL with quotes from Hurts dad. He said without question he will be at bama on the 4th or the 10th. Decision was made a long time ago and there is no change to that
