Too many variables to compare talent wise IMO, but style wise they are similar. Even to the point Kiffin compared the 2.

Mack Wilson tweeted how he grew up an alabama fan, he also mentioned alabama was his #4 team right now
Thanks for the link NP, I looked at his tweets, I think he is all Alabama. Just playing the game for attention.
He clearly enjoyed the game last night.

A few months ago I remember Mag predicting we would (or may have been a "could") land Gary if we had Cristobal (though he may be gone after this season). Now I'm disappointed because it doesn't look like we get him.

Nate McBride had never attended an Alabama game prior to his unofficial visit on Saturday, and it was certainly worth the wait.
“It was a pretty neat experience seeing two of the top teams in the nation,” McBride told SEC Country. “Alabama shut down Leonard Fournette and Derrick Henry had a great game. It was a really good experience for it being my first Alabama game.
“It was one of the best visits I’ve had.”
The 2017 four-star linebacker from Vidalia, Ga., arrived early enough on Saturday to speak at length with defensive coordinator Kirby Smart before venturing out to the field to watch Alabama’s linebackers warm up.
Above all, though, McBride came away most impressed by the Crimson Tide’s ability to limit Fournette to just 31 rushing yards on 19 carries. The Heisman Trophy hopeful entered the game averaging 193.1 yards per outing.
“They had it figured out,” McBride said. “Coach Smart said they thought they’d have to put an extra man in the box, but they ended up not having to because the front line is just beast. And they have linebackers like Reuben Foster and Reggie Ragland. It’s hard to get by them, I’ll say that.”
McBride, the No. 3 outside linebacker in 2017, already holds offers from Auburn, Alabama and UGA, among others. However, the latter two schools appear to be the frontrunners so far, per 247Sports.com’s Crystal Ball predictions.
When asked if a win like Alabama’s could influence his recruitment, McBride agreed.
“It can,” McBride said. “I don’t want to base my decision off of one game, but seeing a team come through and win big like that against a big team is pretty impressive.”

Good read.

Trevon Diggs, a 4-star athlete from The Avalon School in Rockville, Maryland, announced Saturday he will play college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, according to Hank South of 247Sports.
He chose the Crimson Tide over favored Maryland, West Virginia, LSU and Clemson, announcing his decision following his game Saturday.
Home-state Maryland was thought to be the favorite when interim coach Mike Locksley took over, per Josh Stirn of 247Sports, as he recruited Diggs' brother, Stefon, who is having a breakout NFL rookie season with the Minnesota Vikings.
Diggs already has a decently developed frame at 6'0" and 183 pounds. While he has shown the ability to excel as a wide receiver, he can also play defensive back if called upon at the college level.
The composite rankings at 247Sports have him as the sixth-best athlete in the country and the No. 108 overall prospect in the Class of 2016. If Diggs had a clear-cut college position, his latter rank might be even higher.
As a junior in 2014, he hauled in 78 receptions for 1,008 yards and 15 touchdowns. He shows strong hands, a knack for fighting for the ball and exudes a high football IQ with his precocious route-running savvy.
Although he appears to lack elite top-end speed, it's no surprise that he is capable of making big plays both ways the further downfield the ball is thrown.
Locating the football, recovery and closing speed are all strengths Diggs shows as a cornerback. He is a bit of a long strider, but he is elusive in the open field and can create something out of nothing in space.
With a bit more refinement on his technique, perhaps he can generate a bit more explosiveness in terms of lateral quickness and pure acceleration. Both are areas he'll need to hone in on whether he plays receiver or in the secondary.
It may take a bit of time for Diggs to see the field on a full-time starting basis, depending on where Alabama coach Nick Saban decides to ultimately place him. Once he gets settled at the college level, though, he ought to develop into a productive player and a dependable starter.
Good read.
