I'm pretty sure only 2 picked LSU and 1 didn't name a winner

247Sports has a new top player in the junior college ranks. Jonathan Kongbo out of Arizona Western has been given a four-star grade of 96 and is currently rated as the top JuCo prospect in the country according to 247Sports. The junior college rankings could continue to move as we evaluate 2015 film but Kongbo will certainly be one of the most unique players in the nation regardless of further updates.
Kongbo is originally out of Congo before his family moved to Vancouver. He was drawn to the football field for the first time as a high school senior. After only playing six games, Kongbo accepted a scholarship offer to Wyoming where he redshirted as a freshman as he continued to learn the rules and nuances of the game. After transferring to Arizona Western Community College for the 2015 season, Kongbo has compiled 9.5 sacks and 12 tackles for loss in only nine games.
At 6-foot-6, 265 pounds with a background in track and basketball and as a prospect that is still learning the game of football, we feel Kongbo has an immense upside. Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Washington Nebraska and others have offered Kongbo with Ole Miss already garnering two Crystal Ball predictions. He's already taken an official visit to Oxford.

The University of Alabama will host close to 140 prospects on Saturday for the national showdown against LSU. Key targets Alabama fans can keep a careful watch this weekend.
Official visitors
Alabama is currently set to host five official visitors this weekend. The number may change by the time you read this story. Alabama tends to prefer prospects take official visits after the season, it's understandable for a few official visitors with such a high-profile game in Tuscaloosa.
Gregory Little, five-star offensive tackle from Allen High School in Texas
The former Texas A&M commitment was scheduled to announce his decision earlier this week. However, he decided to hold off until after an official visit to Alabama. The Crimson Tide was the early favorite to land Little's signature in February after his decommitment from the Aggies. Other schools have gained recent momentum in the hunt for the nation's top offensive tackle including Ole Miss. It may take a great official visit to sway in the Tide's direction. He will announce on November 13.
Kareem Walker, five-star running back from De Paul Catholic High School in Wayne, N.J.
Walker is ranked as the nation's No.1 running back. He committed to Ohio State in January, but de-committed this week. Michigan is considered the favorite to land Walker's commitment, but Alabama has always been a consideration. He visited Tuscaloosa in the summer.
Isaac Nauta, five-star tight end from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
The former Florida State commitment cancelled an official visit to USC set for this weekend to visit Alabama after Steve Sarkisian was fired by the Trojans. Nauta hasn't been to Tuscaloosa in a while, and Alabama is on the outside looking in for his signature. Many believe Georgia and Michigan are in the best shape. He is also considering Florida and TCU.
Janarius Robinson, Rivals100 defensive end from Bay High School in Panama City, Fla.
The long-time Florida State commitment has kept his options open throughout the past several months and has been in Tuscaloosa many times since January. He is recruited by Alabama linebackers coach, Tosh Lupoi.
Chauncey Gardner, Rivals100 cornerback from Cocoa High School in Fla.
Gardner received an offer from Alabama in the spring. He mentioned Alabama as one of the only schools he will consider outside of his commitment to Florida. He has remained firm with his commitment to the Gators, and this weekend is his first time to visit Tuscaloosa. Florida's season, and first place in the SEC-East has only strengthened its chances to hang on to Gardner.

There are plenty of things that make high school wide receivers excellent prospects. Sometimes it's physical build and athleticism. Often times it's the immeasurable upside of guys who have yet to fully tap into their potential. But even at a young age, there are certain prospects that are just natural playmakers and stand out even when facing the best of the best. In this week's First and 10, we break down the 10 wide receivers with the best hands. They may not always be the highest ranked, but they catch everything that comes their way.

3. WR Trevon Diggs
Gaithersburg (Md.) The Avalon School
Diggs is the top player on his team and is really the engine that makes the offense go. For Avalon to have success, he needs to put up big numbers and that's just what he's been doing. In many of his games this season, Diggs has double-digit catches, but what's more impressive is where these catches are being made. He has success on short, intermediate, deep, and crossing patterns. Maryland leads for Diggs. -- Adam Friedman, Mid-Atlantic analyst

It makes me feel a little better about Clinton's loss knowing Akers didn't play, but damn I want AJ Brown. He's a fricking stud.
quote:
STARKVILLE - Starkville wide receiver A.J. Brown made his presence felt early on Friday. Brown caught a deep pass from Montario Montgomery and took it 72 yards for a touchdown on Starkville’s third offensive play.
The score gave the the Yellowjackets a touchdown lead and they wouldn’t look back as they beat Clinton handily by a score of 45-7 in a Region 2-6A matchup at Starkville.
Brown struck again two possessions later when he leaped above a Clinton defender to high point a deep ball at midfield and broke free for a 90-yard touchdown, making it a 17-0 game. Brown had 162 yards receiving just minutes into the second quarter and finished with 239 all-purpose yards on the night. Brown also returned a punt 88 yards for his third touchdown of the game late in the third quarter.
“He has a big night every night. He’s a great player,” head coach Ricky Woods said. “I always say A.J. Brown is a really good person, and that is what makes him a special player.”
Clinton was without star quarterback Cam Akers, who is recovering from a shoulder injury suffered against Warren Central on Oct. 23. His absence showed as Clinton gained only 69 yards of offense at the half and 166 in the game. Sophomore Walker Burchfield started in place of Akers and was replaced by Rashad Taylor midway through the second quarter.
“We’ve played good defense all year. That's some of our bread and butter,” Woods said. “I thought we had a good performance overall tonight.”
The Yellowjackets wasted no time scoring in the second half either. The offense took the ball 58 yards in less than two minutes and scored on a 13-yard run from Montgomery, making it 24-0.
Starkville tallied over 403 yards of offense on the night and was able to establish a running game led by Avery Brown. Brown had 22 carries for 112 yards and eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark this season.
The Yellowjackets clinched their second consecutive district title, as well as the top seed in Region 2-6A and improved to 10-1 and 7-0 in the region on the year.
“I'm proud of these guys. It’s special to win the district. It’s not really easy to do, especially in 6A football,” Woods said.
It was Starkville's 15th district title in school history and as a result it drew a first-round playoff matchup against Olive Branch next week.
“I think we’re better than we’ve ever been. I think we’re peaking at the right time,” Woods said.
“That’s all fine and dandy, but we’re trying to get that other gold ball,” Brown said “We came up a game short of getting there last year and that is our goal.”
Clinton fell to 7-4, 5-2 in the region, and will face Columbus on the road as the third seed next week.

BJ Emmons ran the opening kickoff back 81yds for a TD. Ran for 185yds and 2TDs on 13 carries and a 52 punt return for a TD early in the third and did not play after that. He now has scored 98 TDs for his varsity career.

Getting excited about this kid. I know you were saying earlier that he should be fine as far as qualifying. Is that still the expectation?
Posted on 11/7/15 at 10:15 am to ApeDeuce
He is currently on track to qualify and the word is he is doing good in class. Seems to be hungry on nand off the field from what I was told but will see after the holidays how he did this semester.

Did Diggs just commit to us?

According to BOL he sure did. That came out of left field.

BOOM!!! He wanted to commit over the summer. Don't know what it means as far as other guys on the WR/CB Board , but I really like Diggs!!!!

Didn't someone say that he didn't have a spot anymore?
Posted on 11/7/15 at 2:41 pm to Cobrasize
He didn't for a while. Guess he got it recently. Hopefully he's the same kind of player that his brother was. If so, we just got an elite talent.
It might mean we don't feel confident in Keith Gavin. I'm not sure.
Last I'd seen we feel good about Cavin Ridley (privately committed last weekend) and AJ Brown (who is the one MS guy who tells everyone who will listen that he's not from MS and wants out... but who knows over there?).
