McKinney's 247 profile has him listed at 170 whereas his Hudl profile lists him at 185.

BOL Nuggets summary:
-Keyshawn Johnson Jr. (2017 WR) apparently had a great time on his visit and some believe he wants to go to school outside of California. He may return to Tuscaloosa later this fall.
-Sources say Alabama has strengthened it’s lead for Nigel Warrior in recent weeks due to his relationship with Kirby. Warrior is supposedly talking to DeAngelo Gibbs about going to Alabama as well.
-Alabama has backed off of Darnell Salomon.
-Keep an eye on Miami WR commit Ahmmon Richards.
-Again, sources say Raekwon Davis is probably sticking with Alabama. He and Quinnen Williams have been two of our biggest recruiters in this class.
-Alex Leatherwood is solid despite overtures from Florida State and LSU.

Alabama landed a verbal from one of the nation’s most versatile defensive backs Wednesday in Roswell (Ga.) High’s 2017 standout Xavier McKinney. His high school coach John Ford predicted this day when McKinney was in the eighth grade.
“I thought he was D1 the moment I first saw him and I would tell anyone that who would listen.” Crimson Tide defensive coordinator Kirby Smart was one of the first to listen to Ford. He was able to get to Roswell for an early evaluation and the two parties built a strong relationship from there.
Commit No. 7 for Alabama in the 2017 recruiting cycle, every verbal is ranked inside the Top247, good for the nation’s No. 3 ranked class thus far according to 247Sports. 247Sports has the 6-foot-1, 170-pound McKinney billed as the country’s No. 6 safety and No. 125 player overall.
“He can play anywhere in the secondary,” Ford stated. “He can play cornerback, strong safety, free safety, boundary corner, field corner, he plays free safety for us and led our team in interceptions the last two years. He’s smooth and instinctive and he can be physical as well. “Really has a smoothness to the game not many people have.” Ford added McKinney is a “great kid and great student.”

Devine was the most dynamic player I've ever seen in high school and that includes Jadeveon Clowney. He was just dynamic. He just didn't have the size. The jury is still out on Cook and Patrick and some others. Bellamy was an enigma off the field in high school and he bounced everything outside but that kid should've been a smaller version of Spiller at Clemson."

He fits the Alabama scheme as a ball hawk who can play each down as either a hard hitter or coverage back creating turnovers via interceptions.

I think our staff likes him fine (upside potential). But he'd be very much a project. I know several (not our staff) guys that just simply don't like him as a prospect and have been hoping for months that he will flip.

The recruiting services certainly love him. He's skyrocketed up the rankings over the last 3-4 months based on his performances at national camps.
