Safety Nigel Warrior, one of the state’s top uncommitted prospects, will be at the Ole Miss-Alabama game this weekend and should be accompanied by two of his Peachtree Ridge High School teammates, Breon Dixon and DeAngelo Gibbs.

The 4-star has UGA among his top schools. He mentioned the Bulldogs among the schools which were recruiting him the hardest in the above video. He will attend the UGA-Alabama game next month.

Warrior mentioned in the interview that he has noticed “pros and cons” in how UGA’s defense has played this year.

Tennessee is also a top contender for Warrior, and he made the trip to Knoxville for the Oklahoma game on an unofficial visit. Warrior, the son of Tennessee great and NFL veteran Dale Carter, had a pretty powerful statement about the Vols.

“I think they’re doing a great job of reeling me in right now,” he said.

He said he’s still only got official visits in mind to Oregon and Ohio State, but has yet to schedule the exact dates for those trips.

Admitting he learned some things that will potentially help UA hold onto his well-contested commitment, Akers’ family did the same while in town.

“They love Alabama a lot and the way they treat me, it’s a big part of my commitment,” he said. “I’m solid with ‘Bama, it just gave me something to look at when I go to other schools and if they treat me better. I’m still Roll Tide, though.”

He probably saw how much we needed someone that can break a tackle in the backfield.

Sources close to Lawrence believe that the trip went overwhelmingly positive in Alabama's favor and the same sources believe that if Signing Day were today, Alabama would be the choice.

This is what I was saying back in the summer. Dexter wants to play in the SEC and that if UA pushed hard we had a legit shot. He had a great weekend on the visit. His coaches think UA is the team to beat.

I don't expect you'll see Raekwon Davis on our commit list very much longer. Expect him to flip to MSU soon.

Right now, Raekwon can't play dead in a B-Western. That might change in a couple years, but he's AWOL on the field against guys he outweighs by 100 pounds now.

Are you hinting that our staff is telling him to move on? Or is this another case of getting landmassed?

BOL posted this yesterday about Davis:

quote:

*** Although there are some people skeptical of Alabama holding on to four-star defensive tackle Raekwon Davis out of Meridian, Miss, sources close to Davis indicate that his actions behind the scene appear to be heavily favorable for Alabama.
