Speaking of, we got another CB for him from a third Rutgers writer.

We may have a potential "problem" concerning OT spots in next year's class.

Alex Leatherwood - Bama commit
Austin Troxell - Bama lean
Noah DeHond - Bama lean
Kendall Randolph - Bama lean

It's like the 2013 RB class.

You know, seeing all these legacy kids for Tennessee, Miami, Florida State, etc. makes me very excited about our Classes of 2026-2035.

Washington?

I bet it chapped a few asses on the LSURb that he put Alabama at #3 and LSU at #4 even though he said they weren't in order.

Good work last night.

Now that most of the recruiting services have updated their 2017 rankings I'm going to post our commits/targets and where they rank in the 247 Composite. It's only 7:22 here and I'm bored.

Another Noah DeHond article:

quote:

“I didn’t know what to expect going in, but when I got there it was a lot more than I expected even though it was Alabama,” Dehond said. “Just the way coach Cristobal interacted with the players and the way I was treated, it was a fantastic time. I really, really like the way coach Cristobal coaches, he’s a perfect mix of teaching and louder motivational speaking. It’s a good balance.

...

“I’m definitely leaning towards going down south, I really like it down there,” Dehond said. “I’m just going to (make a decision) when it feels right for me. The winning school is going to have to have a good balance of academics, football, geographically it has to be relatively accessible to my mom and the rest of my family. Playing time and depth of the roster is another thing, those are the four things I’m looking at.

Brian Burns, the nation's 13th-ranked defensive end on Scout out of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage, is hoping to wrap things up and make a commitment prior to the 2015 campaign, but will let things play out and decide at a later time if he has to. Burns is one of the very best in talent-rich South Florida.

With the season right around the corner, the 6-foot-4, 200-pound Burns currently has a top group of schools consisting of Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Alabama and Florida. Out of the handful listed, Burns says Florida State and Georgia are schools that will definitely receive an official visit sometime in the fall.

The four-star prospect has a quick first step and possesses an intriguing size and speed combination. He needs to continue to bulk up and strengthen his frame, but possesses a ton of length and should really fill out once he jumps into a college strength and conditioning program. Burns plays under control, and flat-out gets after the quarterback and makes a living in the offensive backfield

A prospect that put himself in the news last week was Isaac Nauta.

Scout moved Nauta to the top of its tight end rankings — that got news, but it was his de-commitment from Florida State that made the biggest waves.

On Wednesday, the 6-4, 240 pound senior out of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy opened his recruitment back up, announcing it via Twitter. Nauta has been in the news since.

The Seminoles had him on their commitment list for roughly seven months and FSU is likely out of the race now. Who's in? Georgia, Michigan, TCU, and USC are four that Nauya says will receive official visits.

So we apparently got a walk-on RB who played for Coffeyville Community College in Kansas and Milford Academy in New York. His name is Derrick Gore and Hank South said he looks like a scholarship player out on the practice field.

High School Highlights

Milford Academy Highlights

Spring Highlights at Coffeyville CC

He looks pretty good to me. He could provide some much needed depth this season.

If we lead big for Jeudy you can go ahead and count Cavin Ridley in this class. I think Jeudy is the last of the "Four Horsemen" that lived at the Burgess-Becker house. Two of the four are already on board and the other is a heavy lean. It makes sense that Cavin would join as well.

Tim Watts' on Cam Akers:

quote:

Spoke to one recruiter at another SEC school and he said that Akers is the top RB in his class and he wasn't sure its close from a pure RB standpoint.
