Lawrence and Knott are my reaches right now. But the others are very likely.

Do you think we lose any commitments, or are we going to take a big class?
Since we signed 23 last year, does that mean we can take 27 this year?

We always do. It will happen again. But I don't have anyone in mind right now.

nola.com article on LSU's linebacker big board had this to say about some of our prospects:
LINK

quote:
Alabama's Ben Davis and Lyndell Wilson are considered to be among the elite linebackers available in this class, and LSU is in the mix for both of them, albeit trailing other programs. Wilson is considered an outside linebacker by most, but I believe he could play inside as well, while Davis is a huge linebacker with tremendous athleticism.
Many sources believe Alabama may lead for each, but LSU is in the top five for the standouts. I would give each of them around a 20-percent chance of declaring for LSU.
Texas middle linebacker Dontavious Jackson is an enigma. After standing up LSU multiple times for unofficial visits, he tells people around him that the Tigers are starting to pique his interest, mainly due to the playing time he could see as a true freshman. It is likely that he will visit during the season, but Texas A&M, Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas are considered to be the favorites right now. I'll go with a 20-percent chance on Jackson, as well.

On Niebuhr's Periscope chat, he thinks Trey Sermon will be a UGA/Alabama battle.
I have an idea. Let's take four highly ranked running backs in the same class. That couldn't possibly backfire, could it?

William Poole visits UGA:

The 6-foot, 170-pound cornerback has taken visits to Clemson, Alabama and Auburn this summer and is currently ranked as the No. 11 cornerback in the country. According to 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions, Poole is slated to commit to UGA (75 percent) when it’s all said and done.
And after Friday’s conversation, all indications point towards Poole considering the Bulldogs when his decision day nears.
“I still have no leader, but UGA will always have a good chance of sealing me.”

I'm back. Had the day off yesterday and didn't get on the internet much. I've got some catching up to do.

Hank South said Cavin Ridley and Nigel Knott were his best guesses as to who would commit next.
I assume he believes we lead for Knott for him to make this kind of statement.

South doesn't think anyone committed right now will be asked to move on to make room for someone else.

Hank says the staff would only take a commitment from three LBers if they wanted to commit right now:
Mack Wilson, Ben Davis and Dontavious Jackson.

He also thinks we land Devin White.

Hank thinks the only guy left on the DB board is Knott.

He expects at least one five-star DT (Gary, D. Lawrence, R. Lawrence, D. Brown) to sign with Alabama.

Hank thinks we have 7-8 more spots to fill.
