One of the premier quarterbacks in the 2017 class is close to making his decision. Bishop Gorman (Nev.) quarterback Tate Martell has announced his top five and a he is near a decision. Previously he mentioned making a commitment prior to his junior season.
Martell listed Alabama, Washington, USC, Texas A&M and Michigan in that order, claiming they were in no order. Oregon and TCU were also serious candidates in his recruitment. USC and Texas A&M are split on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. Martell is the No. 11 overall player in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite.

ETA: You bastard. I'm keeping my comment in here though. Just pretend it is in response to your post.
The thing that jumps out to me is Oregon isn't listed in there. They were supposedly his leader about a month ago. If we get him on campus we could have a legit chance of snagging him. Perhaps that's why we haven't heard much on the Jake Fromm front lately.
ETAA: Why aren't you asleep? This is my time to post.

Texas RB Xavian Marks has signed and faxed in his football scholarship paperwork to #Alabama.
I guess he's officially a part of our roster. I was excited when I glanced at this tweet until it got to his name. I thought it was going to be about Stevenson.
Hypothetical, but who would you rather have, Stevenson or Devin White? I imagine if we get Stevenson our depth chart wouldn't look nearly as appealing to DW as it does right now.

Yea agree with nardogg. We cant end up in another Leonard Fournette position. Shouldve took Roc Thomas. Sad think is I think we are going to wait and see what White does in this class...

Some quotes from Demetris Robertson from the AJC He visited UF for FNL.
He is supposedly visiting Stanford sometime this week or next.
quote:
“Coach Mac is a great man who has got it going in the right direction,” Robertson told the AJC. “(He) reminds me a lot of (Alabama head coach) Nick Saban.
quote:
“UF is trending up though,” he said. “They could very well get an official visit. We’ll see."
“They said I can (play) on either side (of the ball) and come right in and return kicks,” he said. “Their track team is top notch, so I can run that also.
He is supposedly visiting Stanford sometime this week or next.

Jordan Smith is deciding between UGA, Clemson, Florida and South Carolina per the AJC. South Carolina is his current leader.

Netori Johnson article from AJC LINK
100% committed? He gone.
quote:
“I wouldn’t say my commitment is shaky, but at the same time, I have taken so many trips,” he said. “I have been to USC, Notre Dame, Georgia, Auburn and Alabama. I guess because I have taken so many visits, some people are saying my commitment is shaky, but I am just having fun. My mind could be changed because I have two more years before I sign anything with any college, so I guess that’s why they are assuming it’s shaky.”
“Alabama is on top and Georgia and Auburn are neck and neck right now in the race. Georgia is No. 2 right now. Georgia – right now – I am loving them. I haven’t had a bad visit there yet.”
“I would love to play for Roll Tide. I am 100 percent with them right now. I’m with them. That’s one of the teams where I really wanted to be at. You can’t go wrong with Alabama.”
100% committed? He gone.

Nothing new except this tidbit:
quote:
“My Top 5 will be released when I release my official visits,” said Brown, who also noted that will take place at the start of his senior football season.
Which schools are in contention for those official visits? “Auburn, Tennessee, UGA, Alabama and then Florida State or USC (Southern Cal) are in contention for my final official visit.”

A highly recruited prospect in the 2016 class is Demetris Robertson from Georgia. Robertson, a 6-foot-1, 165 pound US Army All-American is rated as the Nation's Top athlete for 2016 on 247Sports. He has yet to narrow down all his official visits this fall, but two schools are going to get them according to Robertson on Sunday.
"Stanford and Georgia Tech for sure," Robertson said.
That would leave three other visits he says he is trying to figure out at this time. Georgia is leading the 247Sports CrystalBall votes with 55% of the votes.

I'm guessing the three other official visits will be UF, UA, and UGA?

Like I said yesterday, I've seen this kid's name more in the past week than I have in the past 3 months. He must be turning some heads.
