I wish we could get Jordan Stephenson. He reminds me a lot of Rudi Johnson. I think he would be a really solid back.

I'm not sure. I don't even know if the admissions are tougher at Wisconsin than Bama.

I don't know why I just thought of this but the Bama/OSU semi-final last season featured 2 QBs that were afterthoughts in their signing classes. Blake Sims because of Phillip Sims and Cardale Jones because of Braxton Miller

Just illustrates the unpredictability of recruiting

WR Darnell Salomon

Height/Weight: 6'3", 210 pounds

High School: Miami Central High School; Miami

247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 14 WR; No. 92 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 90/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma and Oregon

Alabama emerged as the leader for Darnell Salomon earlier this summer, and he is focused on five schools at this stage. A recruiting journey that started with offers from Miami, UCF and Georgia Tech as a sophomore is expected to conclude with an announcement before his senior season.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Salomon, who transferred to Miami Central from Champagnat Catholic midway through his junior year, averaged 25 yards per reception last season en route to 673 yards and 10 touchdowns, according to Corey Bender of Scout.com. That statistic serves as evidence of how elusive he can be in the open field (29/30 for combined speed and agility).

His athleticism serves him well in crowded situations that require major leaps or acrobatic midair maneuvering. At this stage, there is more required from Salomon in terms of route-running precision (16/20) and overall blocking efforts to cement his spot among the nation's elite receivers.

ATH Trevon Diggs

Height/Weight: 6'0", 183 pounds

High School: The Avalon School; Rockville, Maryland

247Sports Ranking: No. 7 athlete; No. 83 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 90/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, LSU, Maryland, Penn State and Tennessee

Trevon Diggs probably learned a thing or two about the recruiting process from watching his older brother Stefon—whom the Minnesota Vikings just selected in the 2015 NFL draft—go through it a few years ago.

The 4-star athlete, who could play either corner or receiver, may choose to follow in his older brother's footsteps by snatching passes in a Maryland uniform.

However, he named Alabama his leader back in April.

The speedy Diggs, who hauled in 78 passes for 1,008 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior, could announce his commitment as soon as July 4, per Ahmed Ghafir of 247Sports.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Diggs' skill set is reminiscent of that of his older brother. He's elusive in open space and has great hands. He attacks the ball when it is in the air, which also makes him an intriguing option in the secondary on defense. However, he appears to be a natural with the ball in his hands.

WR Tyrie Cleveland

Height/Weight: 6'2 ½", 189 pounds

High School: Westfield High School; Houston

247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 9 WR; No. 81 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 96/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma and TCU

Tyrie Cleveland backed off a verbal commitment to Texas A&M in mid-April, creating opportunities for other programs to creep back into the picture. Baylor, Georgia, UCLA and Tennessee are teams that have offered since his decommitment, while the Aggies, TCU and Houston are in-state options still in play. There's sentiment that he is a "package deal" with 4-star quarterback and Westfield teammate Dillon Sterling-Cole.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Cleveland was arguably the breakout star this summer at The Opening, teaming up with Elite 11 MVP Shea Patterson to win a star-studded seven-on-seven tournament. He made every catch asked of him, pulling in contested passes, running crisp routes and simply burning top-level defensive backs with elite speed (15/15; timed at 4.32 seconds in the 40-yard dash).

There's also a confidence Cleveland brings to the field that tells you he believes no defender can keep him in check one-on-one, an attitude he often validates. Cleveland, who caught 53 passes for 1,105 yards and 13 touchdowns, will likely end up much higher on this list before national signing day.

ATH Devin White

Height/Weight: 6' ½", 235 pounds

High School: North Webster High School; Springhill, Louisiana

247Sports Ranking: No. 5 athlete; No. 75 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 91/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Ole Miss

At 235 pounds, 4-star Louisiana athlete Devin White has the athleticism to be a standout running back or linebacker at the college level.

Over the last two seasons, he's registered 3,381 rushing yards and 50 touchdowns on offense while racking up 192 tackles on defense.

LSU is the early favorite for White, but schools such as Alabama and Ole Miss are heavily pursuing the No. 9 prospect from the Pelican State.

Bleacher Report Analysis

White simply does things that normal 235-pound running backs don't do. He's got the speed to get to the edge and run away from defenders, but he's also a load to bring down when running between the tackles. He brings a combo of athleticism and physicality to the position that makes him an intriguing talent at the college level.

CB Nigel Knott

Height/Weight: 5'11", 175 pounds

High School: Germantown High School; Madison, Mississippi

247Sports Ranking: No. 7 cornerback; No. 72 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 95/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, Florida State, Ole Miss and Oregon

Nigel Knott defines athleticism. Whether it's in a footrace or a jumping competition, Knott is one of the best athletes in the 2016 class.

At The Opening, Knott ran the 40-yard dash in 4.3 seconds, vertical-jumped 46.5 inches, completed the 20-yard shuttle in less than four seconds and nearly threw the power ball 40 feet. On the football field last year, Knott had 112 tackles, 16 pass breakups and four interceptions.

Knott has 25 reported offers, per 247Sports. Among the schools showing interest are Oregon, Alabama, Florida State, USC and the two in-state schools, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. His father, David Knott, played defensive back at Ole Miss, and his sister, Deja Givens, is a high-jumper at Mississippi State.

Bleacher Report Analysis

In short, Knott's a playmaker, and his athleticism makes him a very wanted man. His blazing speed, leaping ability and overall instincts make him a reliable shutdown defender. His recovery speed keeps him in quite a few plays.

Knott, additionally, is a great tackler. He's a reliable finisher on run plays, and he plays larger than his frame. He has the potential to be an impact player early in his college career.

DT Kendell Jones

Height/Weight: 6'4 ½", 361 pounds

High School: Shoemaker High School; Killeen, Texas

247Sports Ranking: No. 9 DT; No. 65 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 93/100

Committed to Alabama on May 22, 2015

You don't get the nickname "Hulk" for being pint-sized. Kendell Jones Jr. is the extreme opposite of "pint-sized."

Arguably one of the trimmest 361-pound athletes walking, Jones is the perfect example of someone who can turn on the charm off the field and be a dominant force on it. When he's locked in, he's more than a handful to contain as a defensive lineman.

Jones verbally committed to Alabama on May 22, choosing the Crimson Tide over Texas, LSU and several other schools.

Bleacher Report Analysis

In short, Jones is a load to defend. He is naturally strong and deceptively quick. When he plays with a chip on his shoulder, he's one of the most feared individuals in the 2016 class.

Jones is a physically gifted athlete but knows he can be even better with the right tutelage. Alabama could be the program that turns a great defensive lineman into an extraordinary one.

S Nigel Warrior

Height/Weight: 5'11", 188 pounds

High School: Peachtree Ridge High School; Suwanee, Georgia

247Sports Ranking: No. 4 safety; No. 65 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 94/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee

As the son of a former NFL defensive back, Nigel Warrior has all the tools a program would want in a versatile safety.

Warrior is a dynamic athlete who can play either safety or cornerback, but he is more comfortable at safety. His versatility reminds many of his father, Dale Carter.

Warrior has nearly 30 offers and has Georgia and Tennessee high on his list. Carter was a standout at Tennessee during his college days.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Warrior is a safety who relies on his instincts to make plays. He has a high football IQ, and he rarely makes the same mistake twice.

Warrior is a solid tackler, but he also does a solid job of covering receivers and tight ends in passing situations. He draws comparisons to his father, who was a versatile member of the Volunteers secondary when he played.

CB Shyheim Carter

Height/Weight: 6'0", 190 pounds

High School: Kentwood High School; Kentwood, Louisiana

247Sports Ranking: No. 5 cornerback; No. 44 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 95/100

Committed to Alabama on July 15, 2014

For more than a year, Shyheim Carter has been committed to Alabama. The big question is this: Can the Crimson Tide keep him committed?

The stud cornerback made it out to camps at Ole Miss and LSU last month, according to 247Sports, but he also went to an Alabama camp at the end of May.

Whichever school lands Carter will get an outstanding athlete, someone who can play multiple positions at the next level but will probably settle in at cornerback—most likely in the SEC.

Bleacher Report Analysis

As Carter focuses on the defensive side of the ball, his ball-hawking skills are among his most notable. He has quick feet and quick hands, making one-on-one matchups difficult for opposing wide receivers.

Carter's strongest assets on the football field are his versatility and athleticism, making him effective on both sides of the ball. Additionally, he's a competitive athlete who plays each snap with a high level of intensity.

DE Janarius Robinson

Height/Weight: 6'5 ½", 260 pounds

High School: Bay High School; Panama City, Florida

247Sports Ranking: No. 2 WDE; No. 42 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 94/100

Committed to Florida State on Sept. 21, 2014

A player like Janarius Robinson is always fun to watch. He can be dominant, but he never is in a position where he doesn't want to learn.

Robinson learned a lot competing at The Opening, and he plans on using the tutelage in preparation for his time at Florida State.

Robinson is committed to the Seminoles, but he's said he's keeping his recruiting door ajar. Alabama arguably is the team best fitted to flip Robinson if he chooses to decommit.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Robinson came to The Opening noticeably bigger, but he didn't appear to be slower. That's something Florida State coaches will love.

Robinson is motivated by the recent success of defensive linemen to come through Florida State. He has the tools to be the next big thing in Jimbo Fisher's defense.

OT Jonah Williams

Height/Weight: 6'5", 296 pounds

High School: Folsom High School; Folsom, California

247Sports Ranking: No. 6 offensive tackle; No. 38 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 92/100

Committed to Alabama on April 4, 2015

The top offensive line prospect in the state of California in this cycle is 4-star offensive tackle Jonah Williams.

In April, Williams committed to Alabama over offers from Auburn, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon and USC, among others.

Williams is currently the highest-rated member of the Tide's 2016 class.

Bleacher Report Analysis

In the 2016 tackle class, Williams has one of the better pieces of film with respect to his pass-blocking ability. He appears to be advanced in elements such as footwork and hand placement. He's also strong at the point of attack in the ground game. Adding mass and continuing to develop his technique will be key for Williams and his transition to the college level.

WR Demetris Robertson

Height/Weight: 6'1", 165 pounds

High School: Savannah Christian Prep; Savannah, Georgia

247Sports Ranking: No. 1 athlete, No. 34 overall

Bleacher Report Score: 91/100

Uncommitted: Considering Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Florida State and Stanford

After making an early commitment to Alabama, 4-star athlete Demetris Robertson backed off that pledge in April.

However, the Tide are still in the running for Robertson, as he took a visit to Tuscaloosa after his decommitment.

Nick Saban's main competition appears to be Georgia, which holds the slight edge on Robertson's Crystal Ball page.

Bleacher Report Analysis

Robertson is one of the more dynamic athletes in the 2016 class. I saw him at the Orlando Nike Opening Regional camp in March. After a slow start, he was simply unstoppable in one-on-ones. He impressed me with his ability to get off the line of scrimmage and separate from speedy corners on deep routes.

He still has areas to improve upon, namely his precision as a route-runner. However, he's an electric playmaker with the ball in his hands, and he should continue to burst through defenses at the college level.
