I'll go to battle with Tim Watts. Yall can be entitled to what you believe.

If he happened to pick UK for some reason and he pulled off a big troll job. I'll melt. And I mean hard lol. No shame. I have faith in our coaches players and program. As well as our insider guys. Live and die by em.

This is an extremely common quote lol. I doubt it has encryption meaning

To compare the career differences he would have at each school

Alabama- Mark Ingram

Kentucky- they've never had anyone worth a shite so I'll compare it to tevin Coleman and Indiana.

You could take it to mean that he thinks he would have a better chance at being one of Kentuckys GOATs rather than just another really solid Alabama RB.

But I think the kid is talented enough to do big things anywhere he goes, Bama included.

He could also get rode like lattimore and be ruined before the NFL if he had to take the bulk at UK. Never know. Alabama is definitely the safer pick. On top of him having friends here and loving the school.

You could also take that quote as becoming legendary because of the exposure at Alabama ans getting drafted higher along with winning a title with a legendary class instead of being a hometown hero. Can be interpreted both ways and imo it was just a simple down to earth quote with no meaning other than toward his own talents schools aside.

Yeah no offense to Powers or Watts but unless they have spoken with Harris directly I doubt they are 100% but going with the flow. Not one person has named a source. I keep seeing people close to him think it will be UA but not one of those close to him have said Harris is saying that.

A lot of speculation based on reading between the lines because of who he hung out with, some celebration by the kid for friend picking UA. Maybe it was just a friend being happy, and now CBs are coming in.

The only two things I see in our favor is the announcement is closed to the public and that their sites are no longer going there to report it live. That is telling if true.

Either way whoever gets his commitment today will be sweating it out until NSD.

The Elite 50 Experience presented by Under Armour was loaded with top underclassmen talent at every position. Here's a position-by-position breakdown of the best of the best at each spot.

Defensive Line

Montgomery (Ala.) Carver defensive end Marlon Davidson was clearly the star of the show for the defensive linemen with Paramus (N.J.) Paramus Catholic defensive tackle Rashan Gary and Hammond (La.) St. Thomas Aquinas defensive tackle Edwin Alexander out with injury and many of the rest not as consistent for the most part. Davidson is extremely athletic for a big man and has great balance and an array of moves. He works off contact as well as anyone and is extremely powerful and hard to move.

Fellow five-star Dexter Lawrence from Wake Forest, N.C. is also a big man with good balance, but he needs to be more aggressive overall and more physical, while Sugar Hill (Ga.) Lanier defensive tackle Derrick Brown has improved his leverage and ability to play low and is so difficult to move. Waynesboro (Miss.) Wayne County defensive tackle Benito Jones, an Ole Miss commit, is undersized but very quick off the snap and shoots the gap well while Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic defensive end Shane Simmons, a Penn State commitment, is still filling out but fast off the edge and very slippery. Houston (Texas) Westfield defensive tackle Ed Oliver also had his moments and plays with natural leverage and Monroe (La.) Neville defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence plays beyond his age as one of the youngest class of 2016 prospects out there. Finally, defensive end Oluwole Betiku from Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra is an amazing athlete who still needs to work on technique and understanding the position.

All in all it was a very good group, but the offensive line had a more consistent day aside from Davidson's performance.

Linebacker

The Elite 50 Experience was stacked at pretty much every position, but linebacker was exceptionally good. The event featured excellent showings by Lyndell Wilson, the No. 1 overall linebacker prospect in the country, as well as Ben Davis, the No. 23 overall prospect in the country. The pair of Alabama natives both lived up their billing, with Davis actually outperforming Wilson on the day.

As the cycle moves along, the two will likely be mentioned in the same sentence on several occasions and already have a friendly rivalry. Both players continue to develop physically, with Davis now standing at 6-foot-4 and well over 220 pounds. In a non-contact environment, both players showed just how well they can move in space, a necessity for any linebacker in today's game.

While Wilson and Davis were expected to fair well, Rahshaun Smith also turned in a surprise performance. Smith is currently ranked as the nation's No. 1 weakside defensive end, but he proved in the Elite 50 event that he can play standing up just as well as he can with his hand in the dirt. Smith showed a nice ability to cover in space and was very physical at the line against big tight ends in one-on-ones. Depending on the school he chooses, it's not out of the question to see Smith playing linebacker in the future or morphing into more of a hybrid type player.

Defensive Backs

The defensive backfield was loaded and these big-time playmakers made it a long day for many of the wide receivers.

Levonta Taylor proved why he is the top-ranked cornerback in the 2016 class. His crisp footwork, instincts and physicality helped him have the most success out of any of the defensive backs at the camp. Rivals100 safety Brandon Jones made his presence felt from the deep center of the field while Rivals250 cornerback Trayvon Mullen's length and physicality made it tough for quarterbacks and wide receivers to connect. Rivals100 Alabama cornerback commit Shyheim Carter played through a minor injury and showed off his impressive speed and knack for breaking up passes. The speed, instincts and length of Rivals100 safety Deontay Anderson and Rivals250 safety Marquez Callaway made life difficult for quarterbacks.

There was a lot of hype surrounding five-star cornerback Saivion Smith coming into the Elite 50 Experience. While he is a fantastic athlete, Smith is still learning finer points of playing cornerback but it's easy to see why he is such a highly-regarded prospect. Rivals100 cornerback Khalil Ladler had a decent practice but it took him a little while to adjust to the quality competition he was facing. Sophomores Richard LeCounte and DeAngelo Gibbs and freshman Tyreke Johnson already have loaded offer sheets and have very bright futures ahead of them. While Gibbs did not participate because of a minor injury, all three of them were so impressive from a physical standpoint that it was difficult to tell they were younger than the rest of the defensive backs.

Quarterbacks

All four quarterbacks had strong performances at the Elite 50 Experience, but Shreveport (La.) Calvary Academy's Shea Patterson had the best showing. The five-star quarterback was the most-consistent quarterback throughout the event and he was especially impressive on his long ball.

Not too far behind was top-rated player Jacob Eason, a Georgia commit from Lake Stevens, Wash. The No. 1 prospect has an incredibly strong arm and he can deliver the ball all over the field. He was excellent in short, medium and long passes and really showed off a cannon.

The other two quarterbacks also made the top performers list because they also put together nice performances. Five-star Malik Henry from Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake was impressive putting the ball on the money especially in 7-on-7 when he placed it over the linebackers right to receivers and tight ends. Four-star Dwayne Haskins Jr. from Potomac (Md.) Bullis School showed off a nice arm and proved he can make all the throws as well.

Running Backs

Baton Rouge (La.) University Laboratory School superstar Dylan Moses stole the show at running back, especially since 2016 top-rated recruit Kareem Walker from Wayne (N.J.) De Paul Catholic was sidelined with a groin injury.

It is hard to believe Moses is a 2017 prospect because at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, he is so physically advanced he looks like a college football player already. But he can move, he can get by defenders and there's no question Moses could be a star in the making -- at running back.

The LSU commit could also play linebacker, but at the Elite 50 he shined at running back especially coming out of the backfield and just blowing by linebackers to catch multiple passes. Short routes were solid and Moses also went deep a few times with a lot of success. Nobody could keep up with him in one-on-ones and he stole the show.

Wide Receivers

Wide receiver was one of the deepest positions at the Elite 50 Experience and plenty of the top players in the country delivered with excellent performances.

No one was better than five-star athlete and Alabama commit Demetris Robertson from Savannah (Ga.) Savannah Christian School. He went deep over and over and no cornerbacks could stay with him. He was dynamic throughout the workout and really took over at times.

Right behind Robertson was former Miami commit Dredrick Snelson out of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage. Rated as the third-best receiver in the class, Snelson was outstanding, especially going deep where nobody could keep up. When corners gave him a cushion, the four-star would go short and catch even more passes.

A 2017 prospect to remember is Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas prospect Trevon Grimes, a 6-foot-4, 191-pound standout who uses his size really well against smaller cornerbacks. Four-star Devin Duvernay out of Sachse, Texas, and four-star Brandon Burton from Gardena (Calif.) Serra also made an impression.

Tight Ends

The tight end position was one of the strongest positions at the Under Armour Elite 50 Experience. The best of the three tight ends at the camp was Rivals100 Isaac Nauta. He trimmed down a bit since the offseason and it appear to have helped his overall speed. Nauta was a very reliable receiver and the quarterbacks went his direction often. He was open on nearly every rep because he was faster than most of the linebackers but also because he ran good routes that kept the linebackers off balance.

Jake Hausmann, the top ranked tight end in the 2016 class, and Rivals250 tight end Kaden Smith both had their highs and lows. Defenders were able to stick with Hausmann but he was able to make some difficult catches when the quarterbacks could fit the ball into tight windows. He was better on shorter routes than he was down the field. Smith has a huge catch radius and that gave him an advantage over the linebackers trying to cover him. It's good thing Smith was able to bring in some of those hard-to -reach throws because the linebackers were usually good position to defend the pass.

Kaden Smith's sister attends Alabama FWIW.

Offensive Line

The offensive line group was not big in numbers, but it was certainly big in size. And arguably the best one was from the class of 2017 as Miamisburg, Ohio, offensive tackle Josh Myers had a really outstanding day. Myers is big, filled out and strong and he moved his feet well with good arm extension. He didn't appear intimidated at all and was physical with the older players.

Fellow 2017 prospect Calvin Ashley from Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips (headed to IMG Academy) was also impressive with a great, broad frame to fill out, long arms and a nasty streak. Allen, Texas, offensive lineman and Texas A&M commitment Gregory Little competed well despite a cast on his hand due to a torn ligament and fellow Texan Patrick Hudson from Silsbee, Texas, (Baylor commitment) looked strong at times at guard.

The biggest surprise was Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll offensive guard Richard Merritt, who showed off the best punch of the group. Merritt needs to lose a few pounds to add to his footspeed, but he got many of his opponents off balance early. His teammate, Jauan Williams, has a great frame and long arms and was effective against speed rushers, while Toccoa (Ga.) Stephens County tackle Ben Cleveland struggled a bit against misdirection and needs to add flexibility to his game. Cleveland is committed to Georgia and didn't get many reps at offensive tackle during his junior year, so he remains a very intriguing project right now.

Rivals.com analysts covered several practices and the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl game last week in Carson, Calif. Here is a look at 10 players from the Semper Fi Bowl whose stock is on the rise and five more whose stock is on the decline.

quote:

5. DL Anfernee Jennings
Dadeville (Ala.) Dadeville

Jennings was impressive at the recent Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game and followed that up with yet another solid performance at the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl. Jennings made plenty of plays in practice and on game day and defended his reputation as a speed rusher with a devastatingly quick first few steps off the line. An Alabama commit, Jennings needs to get stronger, but the tools he has as things stand now are plenty impressive.
