I think we need to trim down our sig lists.

I'm not in this discussion, but:
The former can sometimes overtake the latter. To be able to get guys to play for you and command them can be a priceless attribute in itself.
Something similar happened with Sims this season, they wanted to play for him. They didn't say, but I'm sure the team wanted Sims to get the job. The effort took Bama pretty far, just not far enough. He had his flaws, but they played lights out for him.
Not to say Cornwell doesn't posses the same trait. He was well connected with several of the commits in his own class that are or will be contributors soon.
Just glad to be in this situation, talented, yet inexperienced,depth!

I could see Barnett's career mirroring Sims' without all the position changes. Like chattabama said, I think his chance to start will be in 2018 as a redshirt Junior, unless he transfers out before then.
Sims earned his respect after 4 years in the program. I think Barnett will need similar time to gain that respect with who he has in front of him.
As you said, Cornwell was pretty damn tight with his class and I know CRob has his back.

I think 2015 will tell a lot. Not that I think Barnett can win it, but rather if anyone ends up a transfer victim of the competition.
If Bateman calls it a day, it gives a better path for both Cornwell and Barnett. Alec Morris is an odd case, I could see him finishing out his career at Bama because he likes it there and is well liked.
