Hopefully Saban and Smart simplifies the scheme and move Eddie to safety, so we can get all this young DB talent on the field to make plays.

Definitely. We need these guys on the field, not riding the bench. Move EJ to Star or Safety.

Does anyone have KNOW how many we can take this year? I thought I heard 27 but not sure if that is accurate. Don't know how it could be.

Yep. Can't keep redshirting guys like Marlon Humphrey. Gotta find a way to get em on the field.
Remember in 2011 when LSU had Claiborne, TM7, Simon, and Brooks on the field at the same time in their Dime package?
TB/Hump/Sheff/Fitz could do that. Obviously we have Cyrus here though, so take one off and add Cyrus this year and next year replace Cyrus with the remaining guy.
With Thompson deep.
With Evans and Miller rushing off the edges.
With Hand and Brown inside. (Though Brown is more of an Edge guy)
