Bob Stoops brings up the Sugar Bowl in the post game press conference of the beat down he just got from Clemson. What a tool.

UA GAME: BLACK TEAM TOP FIVE DEFENSE

CB Minkah Fitzpatrick - Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peters Preparatory
Not the guy who you want to walk in to a public pool standing next to, because this dudes abs have abs. This was a great team for defensive backs and the Scout four-star was probably the best of the bunch. He is long and his footwork is perfect. He has a great pedal and a guy who you can put on an island. Just ahead of our next pick on this day.

Fitzpatrick quote:

quote:

“I am committed to Alabama. Coach Kirby and coach Saban are two of the best defensive back coaches to ever do it, two of the best defensive coaches to ever do it. I feel like out there they are going to develop me as a player and also as a man outside of football. The academic support out there is great and I have family that lives out there, so it’s not like I am leaving home. It’s a great campus. I am playing corner here. The talk at Alabama is playing all three nickel, safety and corner.”

“After this game, I will be flying directly to Tuscaloosa and moving in. I start school on January 7th. It’s a lot of mixed emotions obviously, moving out, away from home and away from parents, but it’s really exciting and I am excited to take the next step in my future."

McMillon quote:

quote:

“I am hoping to form new relationships and hopefully get a few recruits to come to the University of Alabama. The big one is Damien Harris. We are trying to get him and also Drew Richmond, so try to get a bond with them and try to get them swayed towards 'Roll Tide,'" said McMillon. "We flew up on the same flight up here and we sat next to each other and we talked and everything. I am just trying to get him to come to the University of Alabama. He feels pretty sure on Ole Miss, but I still feel like if he comes down for the official and has a great time we still have a good chance of possibly getting him."

So it begins:

quote:

"Coach Harbaugh's hire is a game changer," Shea Patterson said. "I look forward to the recruiting process with him. Michigan has always been a place I thought I would play. Him coming in there definitely boosts my interest in the program. I grew up watching Michigan football games and I think it's a great hire obviously. He's going to bring them back, and as a quarterback I appreciate his competitive nature and I know a lot of guys are going to want to play for him."

Chidi Valentine-Okeke, OT, West
Current 247Sports rank: No. 100
Recruitment: Alabama, Auburn and Georgia contenders

We knew that Valentine-Okeke had one of the top offensive tackle bodies in the country but we didn't know he would respond this well to the elite competition in San Antonio. It's clear that Valentine-Okeke is going to continue to get better but he's already one of the best tackles in the nation. This is a kid that needs to be in the five-star discussion based on ceiling.

Gotta give Barnett some credit. He's fricking relentless on the recruiting trail.

ETA: That's Damien Harris in the circle in case you didn't know.
