I agree and I hope so. Blake seems like such a cool guy as well.

If we land Barnett, Harris, and Ridley, our roster would have:

#1 QB (Dual Threat), Blake Barnett
#1 RB, Damien Harris/Derrick Henry
#1 WR, Calvin Ridley/Robert Foster
#1 TE, OJ Howard
#1 OT, Cam Robinson
#1 OG, Lester Cotton
#1 OC, JC Hassenauer

LITERALLY EVERY frickING POSITION OTHER THAN FULLBACK

Alabama commit Christian Bell says he's solidly committed, doesn't plan on visiting other schools

AUBURN, Alabama - Christian Bell has no intention of visiting anywhere but Alabama.

The long-time Alabama commit said Wednesday night that he isn't considering any other schools and will only visit Tuscaloosa.

"I love it, I love," Bell said about trips to Tuscaloosa. "I'm a solid commit."

At one point the Hoover High School standout was considering a trip to Nebraska, but ultimately decided against it.

He's made multiple trips to Tuscaloosa this year to take in football games at Bryant-Denny Stadium. He is often joined by Hoover teammate Darrell Williams, who is committed to Auburn but still an Alabama recruiting target. While Williams has been open about his interest in the Crimson Tide, Bell said after the school's first Class 7A state championship that he didn't want to discuss Williams' recruiting interests.

As Wednesday night marked the end of Bell's high school career, he began to look ahead to his college future. Alabama recruited Bell to play its "Jack" position on defense, a role that isn't too different from what he did at Hoover.

"It's still the same thing," he said. "I feel good about it. That's the reason they offered me because they saw I could do it."

Bell capped his high school career with a 35-21 state championship win against Prattville at Jordan-Hare Stadium. It was the third state championship in four years for Bell and the rest of the Hoover senior class, putting the group in rarified air in Hoover football history.

"In my opinion we the best," Bell said. "That's how I think about it."

Auburn's decision to fire defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson on Sunday sent shock waves across the 2015 recruiting circuit.

Hoover linebacker Darrell Williams is one of many Auburn commits who are sad to see Johnson go, but eager to find out who the Tigers will name as his successor.

Williams capped his senior season in Jordan-Hare Stadium Wednesday night with a third consecutive state title. His recruitment, however, isn't over.

"That's one of the worst things to happen to a recruit," Williams said when asked about Johnson's dismissal. "I loved the relationship and time we had, but I wish him the best. He knows it's business. He texted me good luck and to go for the three-peat. I still appreciate him as a man. It's hard.

"I would say I'm pretty firm with Auburn, but I'm still keeping an open mind with Alabama. Oklahoma, they still want me, but it's kind of tight. Ole Miss came back in the picture too."

Williams has yet to take any official visits, but attended several Auburn and Alabama games this season. He plans on taking officials to Auburn, Alabama Ole Miss and Oklahoma now that his season is over.

The 6-foot-3, 226-pounder committed to Auburn in May, but grew up an Alabama fan. The possibility of playing with current teammate and Alabama commit Christian Bell in Tuscaloosa is also enticing to Williams.

"My recruiting process has been one of the weirdest any recruit can ask for," he said. "(I'm) sitting here, grew up an Alabama fan, but Auburn seems real right for (me.) It's just hard... You have a coach who gets fired who's been recruiting you and you have a good relationship with, that's never a good feeling.

"Coach (Josh) Niblett tells me all the time I have to be a man about this stuff. Being a man is staying true to your word. But at the same time, you can't base the decision (completely) off that... I'm just going to let God lead me to where he wants to go.

Williams is ranked as the nation's No. 13 outside linebacker in the 247Sports Composite.

Chidi Valentine-Okeke is narrowing things down.

The nation's No. 5 offensive tackle told 247Sports Alabama, Auburn and Georgia now make up his top three schools. He plans to take official visits to each in the coming weeks.

"I'm still neutral," Valentine-Okeke said. "I'm just praying to God he can lead me."

Valentine-Okeke also offers from Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Miami, South Carolina and West Virginia, among others.

The 6-foot-6, 305-pounder plans to announce his decision Jan. 3 during the 2015 U.S. Army-All American Game in San Antonio, Texas. He has not played football for very long, having grown up in Nigeria before making his way to Ludowici, Ga.

Valentine-Okeke idolizes former Auburn and current NFL lineman Greg Robinson and has a solid relationship with Tigers offensive line coach J.B. Grimes, but said he feels "at home" in Tuscaloosa and Athens, Ga.

Valentine-Okeke is ranked as the nation's No. 5 offensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite.

Missouri has become a huge factor in the Hale Hentges recruitment. No longer a Bama lock. Per scout.com

I don't know how much stock I would put into this. Here are Hentges' quotes from yesterday:

quote:

“It really is without a doubt one of the best atmospheres in college football, if not the best, and you can just tell how much the fans care about Alabama football. They got there early and packed the stadium and they stayed in the game the entire time. You really saw how much it means to them and from a player standpoint that is really important.”

quote:

“It’s the best. I have been to some other games and this is by far the best. It really is heads and shoulders better than most.”

quote:

“The highlight was just getting to stand on the sidelines before the game with all of my friends and future teammates. That was really cool. Talking to coach Saban too."

quote:

“I hadn’t been up there (to Alabama) in a long time and it was a good time. Missouri is nice too, but it doesn’t even come close to comparing to what Alabama can offer.”

quote:

“I am solid to Alabama, very solid. I don’t plan on taking any other official visits besides Alabama.”
