Per Charles on BOL Bama will be the home team for WV.

Important because the home team can host recruits.

It appears that Jackson Harris will pick Georgia tomorrow.

However, we seem to be the leaders for Jalen Harris.

I like Jackson Harris better than Jalen Harris at this point, but oh well.

If I were Daylon I would rather go up against EJ, Humphrey, and Brown in practice rather in a game... Could be the best recruiting pitch one could hear

Free info from Tider Insider:

quote:

UA is hosting some top prospects this week. Just a few quick thoughts on some of the visitors...

Starting with the two quarterbacks, Travis Waller (6-3, 190) of Anaheim-Servite, CA and Blake Barnett (6-4, 200) of Corona-Santiago, CA. As noted in our report on Waller last night, while Tide fans have been antsy about landing a QB, the UA staff has seemingly been content with taking it's time deciding which QB to pursue hard. It now seems clear that Waller and Barnett, both of who are on campus visiting now, are the two that UA is zeroing in on. Barnett, once a Notre Dame commit, is thought to be a very strong Oregon lean. Waller has narrowed his choices down to Alabama, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Ohio State. The feeling is that UA and ND have the inside track. The hunch here is that Waller might be UA's best shot.

QB/ATH Kai Locksley (6-3, 185) is also expected on campus. Locksley, from Baltimore-Gilman, is at the same HS that produced Tide corner Cyrus Jones. Locksley would likely be an athlete type recruit for UA. You never know how much a visit might influence a prospect, but Alabama has not been high on Locksley's list to this point.

Defensive end James Lockhart (6-3, 260) of Ennis, TX is a tremendous prospect. It's down to Texas A&M and Alabama as his top two. While I think the UA visit will 'wow' Lockhart, ultimately I think it's going to be tough to pull him out of Texas. He's been leaning to the Aggies. They kind of have it rolling recruiting in the state right now. They got a major bump in momentum with the commitment from QB Kyler Murray a couple of weeks ago. Two things might give Alabama a chance here though. First, UA has had some success recruiting the state of Texas the past few years. Having Texas natives like A'Shawn Robinson and Tony Brown on team certainly helps. Secondly, Alabama's history under Nick Saban for playing top defense and for developing defensive players for the next level. Some of the top defensive prospects have questioned A&M's ability to develop defensive talent. Still, when push comes to shove, the Aggies the feeling here is that the Aggies will be tough to beat for Lockhart.

Even though he still has a ton of schools on his list, I do think Alabama has an excellent shot at star linebacker/defensive end Ricky DeBerry (6-3, 248) of Richmond-St Christopher's in Virginia. DeBerry, who has close to 60 offers, had narrowed his list down to 20 schools, including Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Nebraska, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, South Carolina, UCLA, USC, Virginia and Virginia Tech. DeBerry and several family members will make their first visit to UA this Saturday. I know that the entire family is very excited about this trip. The one thing I think that Alabama is going to battle with on some of these top defensive recruits is the perception some are promoting that UA is stacked knee deep with four and five star players and that you might never play. Keep an eye on DeBerry though. I think UA could have a good shot with him.

TE Jackson Harris (6-5, 250) of Columbia-Central, TN is slated to make his decision tonight at 6 PM. Harris is the power-blocking Y type tight end that UA needs in this class. Harris really hasn't tipped his hand. In our conversations with him, he's always been straight down the line. As of the last day or two, sources close to the Georgia staff have been very confident about the Bulldogs landing him. If Harris were to choose Georgia, UA is in great position with Montgomery-St James tight end Jalen Harris (6-4, 244). In terms of ability, some consider Jalen Harris the equal to Jackson Harris.
