Cowart is looking hard at Oregon and Florida, according to 247Sports.
He told the following to A.J. Jacobson of Duck Sports Authority on May 12:
Being able to go out there to Oregon; NIKE headquarters, Phil Knight. Then from an academic standpoint with me wanting to do Sports Broadcasting, the reasons are endless. If you play at Oregon, the fact they are associated with NIKE, there are so many connections out there it is ridiculous.

All anyone has to do is look at recent history to see how Alabama responds following a season with two or more losses. In 2009, after a 12-2 season, the Crimson Tide won the national championship. Then, after going 10-3 in the 2011 campaign, it claimed back-to-back titles.
Alabama lost twice last year and enters this season on a two-game losing streak—and that's just unacceptable in Tuscaloosa. Because of that, Nick Saban will be on a mission to ensure the Tide return to the top of the college football world, and all teams in his path will feel the pain.

The Sugar Bowl will be a great venue to exorcise last year's demons, and then the national championship game victory will lock Saban into the top spot on the list of greatest college football coaches of all time.
The worst
The Jacob Coker experiment proves to be a massive failure, which, in Alabama terms, could mean he's just not as good as AJ McCarron or Greg McElroy. But it also means there will be two or more losses on the Tide's ledger when the season ends, as just having a strong run game and a great defense won't be enough.
Either Ole Miss or LSU will put together a win against Alabama, feeding off past losses to spark the victory. And while a lot of energy will be focused on avenging last year's loss to Auburn, there's just not enough there on defense to stop Auburn's run game.
With neither an SEC nor a national title in the realm of possibility, another lackluster bowl effort will end one of the most disappointing seasons in Alabama history.

Alabama has won three national titles under head coach Nick Saban, and it is regarded by many as the premier program in college football today. Future NFL players are all over the Crimson Tide's roster, and the program boasts an intense collection of fans.
'Bama's facilities are exceptional, and it is usually involved in a large amount of the biggest games of the college football season. Hilliard would be joining a winning program that is operated like an NFL organization.
Cons
Like with Notre Dame, Hilliard needs to make sure he'd be a good fit in Alabama's 3-4 defense. The demanding environment and culture in Tuscaloosa isn't for everyone.

That sucks. Great talent, I figured he'd have a huge year.
The upside (well not really because there is never any upside when someone gets hurt) would be that I'm a little more comfortable about the AU game now. They still have a deep front, but I was worried about what Lawson could do to Coker if he got to him early and often. Hopefully Lawson recovers quickly though.
