From some dude on BOL:

Look above at Taylor Hamm's thread on Recruiting Nuggets from State Track Meet.
Here is the quote:
Apparently West Orange-Stark safety Deionte Thompson is talking about opening things up once again. This wouldn't be the first time the Bama commit alluded to possibly de-committing as he told GigEm247 a few months ago that he was thinking about officially going back on the market. However, whenever Thompson would openly talk about it to reporters he would suddenly be "solid" with his commitment again shortly after. Right now I'd say Texas is more of a threat than A&M to flip the All-American but it should be obvious at this point that Thompson is shaky with his pledge and worth monitoring until February.

Miami (FL) Gulliver Prep 4-star DE Joseph Jackson plans to visit Alabama, Florida and Michigan this summer. "I talk to Alabama and South Carolina the most," Jackson said. Earlier this spring, Jackson received an offer from Texas. "Texas always has a dominant team," Jackson said. "(Defensive line) coach (Chris) Rumph is a good coach. I know that for a fact." Alabama offered in January. "I met coach (Nick) Saban and he told me he likes the way I play and told me I have an offer," Jackson said. "They have a dominant team." The Crimson Tide has the lead. "I would have to say so," Jackson said. "Texas and Michigan (are two and three). I grew up watching Michigan That's one of my favorites."
I don't know who this kid is.

According to Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. DB Justin Evans, Alabama has extended an offer to the Texas A&M commit this afternoon. The 4-star defender says he's solid with the Aggies and has no plans to visit any other schools. Evans is the No. 1 rated junior college safety in the nation according to the 247Composite rankings and also holds offers from Auburn, Baylor, Georgia, Nebraska and Ole Miss.

Thinking about all the quick twitch guys we're recruiting, who do y'all think leads the team in sacks in 2014?
I'm going Allen. Not sure on how many he gets, I'm thinking around 7.5 sacks.
But beyond that, I've also got another question about all these recruits.
Who will be the first (if any) to get double digit sacks? Allen? Hand? Brown? Evans? Miller? Robinson?

Top 50 WR Christian Kirk will visit four SEC schools later this month. He will visit Georgia on May 26, Tennessee on May 27, Alabama on May 29, and Auburn on May 30-31, he tells BamaOnline. The trip will mark the Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro standout's first round of southern visits.
Several coaches are expected to be by Saguaro this week to see Kirk, including USC's Tee Martin (Monday), Texas A&M's David Beaty (Thursday or Friday), and UCLA's Eric Yarber and Taylor Mazzone (Friday).
Texas A&M holds the majority in Kirk's Crystal Ball, accounting for 85% of the picks with Oregon and Ohio State, each holding 8%.

Deionte Thompson is solid to Alabama. Trust me on that one. Talking to sources very close to the situation, he has no plans of decommitting. He never said he was opening things up. I think he's trying too hard to please everyone he talks to. But the more he matures, the more he'll understand this process.
quote:
Well I'm his father and I promise you I'm not wrong. Of course he's been talking to in-state schools. That only makes sense. But I can assure you, he's solid to Alabama.

I was just getting ready to post that. That gave me the lulz. I like how he was acting cool with the "sources close to him" before saying that he was that source.

It's fricking awesome. Taylor Hamm went into straight arse kissing mode as soon as he posted that too.

A few more quotes from dad (non-VIP)
When asked about the "currently" in his above post:
quote:
No problem at all. We honestly believe that currently, it's the best fit for him. I'd love for him to play closer! LOL! But closer may not always be what's best.
When asked about the "currently" in his above post:

I wouldn't say we're leaving the door open. I'll just say he's solid to Alabama.

His dad seems pretty cool. I think a certain other recruit's dad who posts on message boards could learn a thing or two from him.

I haven't seen him in a while. He hasn't even chimed in on the ridiculous arse kissing threads they start over there.
