I share the same fantasy. I hope he learns that, and doesn't get up after two or three years of success, he could use an extended 5+ year stint as an OC under a mentor like Saban. Then maybe he could return to HCing with a different mentality. Maybe.

Newsome had 7 punt return TD's this past season. Wonder if the staff wants him primarily as a returner?

He's got a electric hl reel

We offered 2016 QB Jacob Eason out of Washington. Just watched his sophomore film. Kid is going to be a baller and should be 220-230 by the time he graduates. We need to come after him hard.

Speaking of Eason:

quote:

Nick Saban extended an offer to top 2016 QB Jacob Eason on Monday. The 5-star passer told BOL that he plans to camp at Alabama this summer and shared what he knows about the Tide.

"A lot of their quarterbacks go to the NFL. I know they had (A.J.) McCarron and (Greg) McElroy. They’re a great team with good running backs, line, and a great defense. They have national titles and all that," said Eason.

What are Eason's visit plans for the summer?

"Bama, Georgia- I’m going to try to get around to some other schools. Hopefully Notre Dame and Michigan and then down to Florida and stuff."

Eason's Crystal ball is split between FSU, Notre Dame, Washington, Stanford, and Texas.

Eason quotes:

quote:

"My dad told me he talked to their coach earlier in the week and they wanted me to call Coach Saban on Monday morning at 6:30 (A.M.), so that’s how that went down," detailed Eason.

"I had a conversation with Nick Saban in the morning and he just talked about what’s going on at Alabama and some of the things about Alabama. He wants me to come down this summer and check out their camp. He offered me, so that was cool."

quote:

"I’m hoping to commit at the end of next year. I’m going to pick wherever I choose to go, so it should work out good.

"Coaching staff, offensive style, what kind of quarterbacks they’ve had in the past, academics, winning percentage, and all of that."

quote:

"That’s not much of a deal for me. I’m just going to go out and have a good four years at the school whether it’s far away or close. It doesn’t matter."

I'm telling you. Watch his highlights then watch Tom Brady's. They look identical with their stature and mechanics. It's kinda freaky.

Five-star tight end Isaac Nauta of Buford (Ga.) told 247Sports on Wednesday morning that Alabama has offered. The 6-feet-5, 240-pound Nauta is the No. 1 TE and No. 16 overall recruit in the 247Composite for 2016. At this time, Florida State and South Carolina stand out.

Isaac Nauta Highlights

He's from the same high school as Dillon Lee and Kurt Freitag.
