regardless of mac tho. the first thing i'd like to see from BY9 is him bring the ball down some. he throws a high ball that can get a wr's ribs destroyed.

I agree with this and I wonder if his lack of height is part of the problem

Reportedly, Sark wanted to run less RPOs last season, but Tua had problems making the different reads. Hopefully, we’ll see the offense that Sark was wanting to run.

Is that the same Tua that played in the 2017 national championship, as a true freshman, that was in Brian Daboll's scheme, looking receivers off and throwing for 3 TDs in a half against a very stout Dawg defense?

I'm not sure what Sark wants to call it yet, but he himself said in his presser, that he "wants Alabama to get back to a dominant run game." I believe him.

And he doesn't have to.

Which is my only point here.

Has nothing to do with what Sark was wanting to do and the fact that Tua allegedly had issues with running his offense.

What does that have to do with Mac and having a "dominant" running game?

You’re the one that brought “Tua’s offense” into the conversation. I know things get mentally challenging as you get older, but at least put forth effort to keep up.

I'm not invested in the next version of the Alabama air-raid. Regardless of how well Mac Jones reads a defense. I believe what Sarkisian believes. And a "dominant run game shall lead us.

That’s the point I was trying to make. He wanted to do that last season, but couldn’t because Tua is more comfortable with the RPO offense. Here is an article describing what Sark wanted to do last season.

That's good, I do like the pro-style approach and Steve's background is West Coast. In its purest form, WC isn't really noted for its strong run game but he is the one that's going to make things work. It's always a little this or that anyway.

I really liked Brian Daboll's pro-style approach as well. Mostly, cause we were pounding the hell out of the ball. In fairness, it looked a lot different with Tua running the show. The second half against Georgia, we had the best defense, the best passing game, and the best running game. That's all a Bama fan can ask for.

And absolutely, no way in the world, are they putting the same offensive responsibility on Mac's shoulders.

But do they have to? Najee, BRob, Sanders, leatherwood, Dickerson, et al, can alleviate that need.

It’s a fair point. If our running game is doing well, he has to do less technically. If our def is good not even great we will control a lot of the games we play with just that.

As the season wore on, you had to respect Bama's ground game as Najee got stronger and was starting to look very much like the Mack truck we brought him in to be. But beyond him, our ground game was very Meh! And despite Najee's strong season, he never was much of a breakaway scoring threat. Defenses could scheme to keep everything in front of them on the ground. I'm hoping Sanders provides that home run threat on the ground to open up things even more for Najee's power game and the passing threat.

Christian Harris found himself feeling more comfortable with each passing week.

A player that lined up at receiver, defensive back and returned kicks as a senior at University Lab (La.) School, Harris’ athletic ability was on display as he learned to play linebacker for the first time in his football career. But there was a learning curve at the new position.

“Transitioning from the fact that I played corner and wide receiver in high school, in the beginning, the first couple of weeks it was a little tough -- working on pad level, reading the whole defense, having to communicate a little more,” said Harris during a Zoom call with local reporters on Monday. “Coach (Pete) Golding is one of the best coaches in the country, and he’s coaching me up every day. I had Josh McMillon, Dylan Moses there to help me out every day

I’m excited about Harris

So apparently the coaches are very comfortable with our quarterbacks. I'm glad to hear that.
