Yep. He's rapidly climbing up draft boards and he's only getting better. As long as he doesn't fall off a cliff down the stretch he's a 1st round lock.

We came into this game 56th on defense Arkansas came in 42nd We score 117 they score 115 They fall to 44th We fall to 66th. We win and fall to 19th overall They lose and move up to 16th Pomeroy ain’t doing something right

Road vs home is a pretty big component in his formula. Still a sizable drop in defensive efficiency for one game this late in the season

Auburn is doing everything they can to make our road win in Neville worthless.

Looks like I missed a helluva comeback/game. I’ll have to watch the replay at some point tonight.

I support their efforts 100%, especially when it’s against another team we place twice like MSU.

If Missouri wins we go to 2 or 3 don’t we?

That was a quad 1 road win just over a week ago. Unfortunately winning in Starkville doesn't move the needle and having to play MSU at home again is probably a net negative even with a win

5 in a row after the Florida debacle is a nice job by Oats and this team. Decent chance of pushing it to at least 7 in a row if they can keep the intensity.

I know Philon was amazing but I am tempted to say Sherrell was MVP tonight. Maybe his best game at Bama and he is basically our only post player.

Yep. I posted that earlier thinking we’d be 3, but if Arky beat UT, we may be 2 with a weird tiebreaker (still have to play UT in Knoxville though). 2 or 3 keeps us out of FL’s side of the bracket in Nashville

I would gladly take a 4-1 finish in sec play and a 2nd place finish.. with our lone loss being a rando at UGA

I don’t think it’s possible for them to fall below 75 in NET, so should be Quad 1 no matter what. And they aren’t going to be top 30 if we beat them Ttown anyway.

From a pure metrics perspective, if we play them both twice it shouldn’t matter much either way. I am almost never disappointed when AU loses, so go Bulldogs and anyone else they play against.

Generally I agree.

Side note:
St John's is now 1st place outright in Big East at 13-1

St John's is also 1-3 vs Sec teams (two of which are not ranked).

Basketball is top heavy again with Michigan and Arizona. But there are a lot of charlatans out there too. This isn't vintage UConn and Houston is overvalued. Alabama has weaknesses, but outside of about 3-4 matchups, they can beat anyone if they will just organize the defense

I will add, Nobody wants to hear it, but Florida is a top 4 team even with pedestrian guard play

I agree that there are about 5 teams that are probably completely out of reach for us. Unfortunately, 3 of them are 1 seeds and we’re staring a 4 or 5 seed right in the face. Need to get put in Houston or Iowa St’s bracket if they get the last 1 seed.

We’re probably going to get put in a bad bracket for us as Chuck payback.

Unfortunately that would probably be about right.

Really nice of MSU to give up their 18 point lead and let AU take a 5 point lead with 2 min to go, only to rip their hearts out.

hell of a game. this season is loaded with great pg's but to me philon and acuff are the two best and both made sure to show the other who was number one. great job by oats to make sherrell a focal point on offense as arky is pretty soft downlow. overall a great team effort and well deserved win. rtr

Everyone said that about Philon last season, so we'll see. You think Allen has shown enough for the draft?

for the draft? easily. 6'8 guards as versatile as amari dont grow on trees. the only real possibility i see is if amari decides he wants to stick around to improve his stock to become a lottery guy as opposed to just a first rounder, which with it being the NIL era i suppose is possible but probably not very likely.
