Anyone having refund issues with the ticket office?

Fair warning...I'm gonna bitch about the ticket office, so if you don't want to read, stop here.

Based on my point total, I was offered $90 seats in the lower level, but because of demand I ended up getting only $60 upper level tickets. That's fine, I understand that. But the supervisor in the ticket office told me that no one was offered $60 seats...and those make up half of the allotment. So now, the ticket office is having to process thousands of refunds by hand, and they are saying it will take several weeks to get my money back.

Granted, it isn't that large of a sum. But the supervisor first said that this is the way they always have done it. When I told her that I was offered upper level seats for both the previous VT and Clemson games (and actually was able to upgrade for Clemson), she then admitted that they had only started doing it this way since then. So she lied about it.

My points were, first of all that this is a very poor way of doing it. Second, not only do they choose a method which seems much more labor intensive than the old way, they do a really bad job of it. Third, and this is obviously beyond the control of the ticket office, they are seriously understaffed. So how much of a profit did we make in football last year?

Anyone else having similar issues?
