I work near Tallahassee. Ever so often, I have to work on Sundays. I was at work this past Sunday and watched the selection show from my office. I might have been wearing an Alabama polo. Needless to say, I have a lot of spirited conversations over the last couple of days.

Well since we are all sharing stories I live in the panhandle and man, I opened Facebook .5 seconds after the announcement and all my FSU friends were going ballistic, nuclear. I’ve never seen anything like it.
I went to brunch, had on a low key Alabama shirt from lockroom, so plain white T with red elephant logo small.
I was hawked down by an FSU guy (head to toe in fsu gear even his shoes) who I didn’t know asking me if I thought it was fair and how could this happen. He was kind of getting loud and I almost got with him, but I took the time to explain his frustration should be focused on Texas more than Bama and explained why. He then started MFing Texas. My work is done here.

I understand FSU fans going nuclear. Any fanbase would. The political and lawsuit crap is silly but to be expected by grandstanding politicians.
The reaction from fanbases like LSU and Auburn are hilarious though. They wouldn’t care a bit if it didn’t involve Alabama.

This. I get why FSU fans are upset. They should be.
But what I don't get is why the Barners and Corndogs are melting even harder than FSU.

Ranking UGA behind of FSU this week sends a very conflicting message as well.
It certainly would have negated a lot of arguments from people not nuanced enough to avoid fixating on single resume points instead of weighing multiple ones together like the committee is tasked to do.
However, I think the committee probably got it right ranking UGA behind FSU.
In ranking Bama or Texas over FSU, all 3 teams are P5 Conference Champions and both Bama and Texas have HUGE Neutral or Away wins over other Top 6 contenders on their resumes.
To put UGA over FSU, you don't have either of those resume points favoring UGA so it would mainly be saying that the injured QB is the only reason.

There’s definetly a “They can’t keep getting away with this!” element to their meltdown. It doesn’t help that they thought for sure that we were on the decline.
