Any idea why the penalty on the last play of the first half was declined?

Just curious.
Perhaps it was covered in the game thread at the time, but I might have missed it. I guess it helped pad Milroes stats. But, I just don't know why it was declined. The half still would have ended.

If LSU declines the penalty there’s a zero % chance Bama scores at the end of the half. If they accept it there’s a chance they do a score, however remote.

Would have been an untimed down if they accepted. Was no point in it

An untimed down on an offensive penalty?
You sure about that?
I know it would be for a defensive penalty, but I didn't think it would be on an offensive penalty
