We have seen Ty Simpson get zero(0) meaningful snaps. We simply do not know how good of a QB Ty Simpson is. Where is your supreme confidence in him coming from?

Same as the supreme confidence observers had about AJ McCarron his true freshman year.

I'm on a private forum and a regular practice observer says Simpson is the real deal, is improving consistently, can make all the throws, and for a true freshman runs the offense well . I suppose the fact his Dad is a college football head coach puts him ahead of most kids his age

You’d think Alabama fans would be glad that the freshman looks promising.

I don't think anyone had "supreme confidence" in AJ his true freshman year. It was a much different time back then, and most of us just assumed he was better than Star Jackson for obvious reasons.

I don't doubt that, but real live game action is a lot different than practice. I obviously hope that Ty Simpson is the next Joe Montana, but there is no reason right now to just scrap Milroe as the backup and go straight to Simpson.

Right, because we are saying that we are not glad that Ty Simpson could be a stud.

On the other hand, you'd think that Alabama fans would be glad and excited that Milroe led our offense to 35 points in an SEC road game after being thrust into action unexpectedly.

Supreme confidence was your term but I didn’t see you question Glorious when he said he was 100% positive that McCarron would have started his true freshman season.

Besides this , we haven’t seen much of Simpson except for practice observers, but what we have seen is Milroe snd he struggles with the passing game. I do expect, though, that the coaches will have a plan for him this weekend with screens and safe quick out type passes and he will do fine. If Young isn’t back by Tennessee, though, I think it’s going to take more than that.

Glorious posted an actual quote from Saban himself saying as much.

I think that Milroe is such a massive threat with his legs, paired with our RBs that we would still roll all over Tennessee. I think that he can pass well enough to run that offense efficiently. I could be wrong, and I don't think that its unreasonable for you to disagree with me. Hopefully it is a non-starter and Bryce will be good to go by the UT game.
