IMO, they should have a contractual requirement to give the down and distance and game time after EVERY play. The “color” stuff is fine as long as it does not interfere with the info. When we are listening to the radio we canNOT see what is happening. We depend on a radio crew that has failed us for most of 5 decades.

I know it can’t be true, but sometimes I get the impression that Chris is enjoying the fact that he knows what going on but is having fun not letting us in on his little secret, which is what is going on. But again, I know it can’t be true. He’s talented, articulate and clever, but what those who are listening want, even need, is real basic info such as time and score in BB and location, down and distance in FB, score frequently though less so. Speculation and quips are an add-on. We are not humorless, just serious.

I loathe UT but Mike Keith is the VERY best in the business. Even though not a Titans fan, I would sometimes listen to his call just to observe an expert do their job. He’s incredible.
