Chris Low says no on Chip Kelly and Mark Helfrich. He mentioned Godsey, Daboll and Locksley.

It appears Chris Lowe doesn't know anything and is merely reciting a few possibilities he's seen discussed by others.

We haz a better list of legit possibilities than just those three. I think Saban "probably sort of" does too.

Daboll looks good on paper, but we all know once josh McDaniels bolts for a HC job next yr, this guy will go to the patriots

I hate the Oregon coach idea. Those offenses won't work consistently in the SEC against superior D talent.

The idea that a couple bounce around coaches from the NFL and Locksley would be the best gets is almost inconceivable.

UA can afford any coach in the country and what better situation for a talented OC to walk into is there.

If they want the Coach B/pats connection, throw 2mill plus at McDaniels (although that would not be enough as he'll be HC again soon). At least get serious about the candidate.

Those 3 are about as meh as I could imagine.

I wish it were Lincoln Riley or Tee Martin.

Saban is the best at evaluating strengthens and hiring support so I won't lose any sleep no matter who we hire......

... I'm lying. Would melt if we promote Locksley or hire Godsey

I think Lincoln Riley is the best candidate in the country.

Young, creative OC that uses all the talent on the roster. Shows right mix of explosive plays with ball control and balances the overall play calling pretty well.

He'd be a home run in my opinion

Yeah, Lincoln Riley is good, but there's no reason for him to make a lateral move. And, he might be gone in year anyway. It's fairly likely he'll get a good HC offer soon.

I'd offer...

Exhibit A) $$$$. Pay him like the best OC in the country and get him to Tuscaloosa

Exhibit B) yes, he is headed toward a HC job. Proving he could be just as successful in the SEC and adding Saban to his coaching tree connection would only help boost his HC value when his time comes.

Obvious long-con by LSU to send him to us via the NFL HC'ing ruse, build up our hopes with success, then systematically tear UA sports apart from the inside ... starting with Locksley as OC.

Dear Coach Saban,

Gilbert is winning the popular vote, we all know how important that is. So go ahead and hire him. Thanks.

Could be looking for a good quarterback coach with Locksley O.C. or co-O.Cs

Uncle Rico is available. He'd probably be a great QB coach

He doesn't need to. I think it's valid to assume he knows more about all the guys on "our list" than we do.

Yeah, I know.

But, some seem to think Saban needs their advice.

Well, by Gawd, I've been a sofa coach going on 35 years. He needs to listen to me
