Watching the broadcast from auburn. Thompson and auburn is playing. OMG you'd think this was the auburn network. Kevin Scarbinsky is hosting it and there is barn announcers. They even flew the damn eagle out and the cult barn fans have shown up. How have they been allowed to take over like this? Thought this was supposed to be a nuetral broadcast? Hope Thompson stomps them.

All the coverage is literally ALL auburn. Nothing about Thompson at all. I'd be pissed if I were a Thompson fan and complain to the AHSAA. Its only fitting a team with red and white beats auburn. ...............Thompson is a good team. I'm rooting for Mountain Brook in 6A Friday night.

Thompson is dominating. 8th grader went 10/12 157yds 3TD 1INT in the first half. That Sophomore RB is running hard as well! Noticed Auburns kicked a 40+ yard field goal before the half. They mentioned that kid has kicked a 62 yarder. He’s gonna be kicking on saturdays with that kind of leg. Andddd as I’m typing this the 8th grader threw for another TD.. this kid is special.

Yeah, that Thompson QB is amazing to be in 8th grade......The cult barner fans all went home and the barner announcers are in misery watching this auburn beat down. This is a royal arse-kicking. And Thompson seems like a young team.

Where did Thompson come from.

I never heard of these jokers until the Tagovailoas came to town and all the sudden they’re state powerhouses.

The auburn high school band is just like the auburn college band. They play non-stop trying to drive everyone crazy. They even play the same stupid songs.

Thompson HS was a fast growing HS in the 1960's & 1970. Shelby County split the school into Thompson and Pelham to control the size. Later they split off Helena HS.

In the mid 1970's (before the Pelham split) They had become a Basketball power house (3A). After the Pelham split Thompson won one or two State Championships in the early 1980's for Football. Eventually Thompson and Pelham grew tired of the games the Shelby County school system was continually playing and each became a city school. Thompson (Alabaster) and Pelham (Pelham). As Alabaster grew in Population Thompson eventually became a 7A school then in the early 2010's again became a power but this time as a big school.

In the late 1970's and early 1980's Thompson became very good at the recruiting game which led to it's 1st Football State Championship. They also started sending kids to Alabama and Auburn on scholarships. I was "recruited" to go to Thompson in those days to be the fullback and middle LB. Another kid (Arthur Johnson) was recruited from Calera to be the TB and a DB. I chose to stay at the HS I was already in. Arthur accepted the "invitation". Later, Arthur was "recruited" to go to Auburn. I ended up at Alabama.

In the early to mid 2010's Thompson with growth, good new faciities and (assumed by me but not known for certain) recruiting became a true power in 7A starting their roll and taking over as the 7A power that replaced Prattville in the champianship chase. They have won serveral and played in several more State Champianship games. They became the counter ballance to Hoover HS in the state.
