down 5/8 of a point to AU with one rotation left. That is a yuge number to overcome.

Despite the disastrous start, which basically blew any chance to win the meet, the team did rebound to have their highest score of the season (197.350). Floor was the bright spot, getting to count scores of 9.90 or higher.
Bama’s got to climb out of last place to have any hope of making it to the SEC Championship (and compete for the first time ever in the early session)

I've been disappointed in the judges scoring, especially on floor for several weeks. Gabby should've had a couple of 10's already. Was glad to see Lilly get her 10 last week but she messed up earlier on the beam, as did Gabby, our two better gymnasts. If I'm not mistaken, Tuscaloosa is host to the regionals this year. What a terrible year to crash and burn.

What do they need to make that happen? Maybe a stupid question but do you have to make the SECC to make the NCAAs? Could we host a regional and not make the postseason?

It has to do with their scores not really win or lose. They only have around 2 matches where they scored in the 197 range with the last one their highest score of the year.

Apparently so.........
Yes, in NCAA college gymnastics, a team can host a regional but not make it to regionals if there are conflicts with other teams' schedules.
Explanation
• In NCAA college gymnastics, the top 16 teams are seeded into four regionals.
• If there are conflicts, the lowest-seeded host may be swapped with a non-host team.
• Teams outside the top 16 are placed geographically.
• Unseeded teams may be selected to compete in round one of regionals.
• In 2021, there was controversy when No. 26 N.C. State was selected to compete in round one while No. 29 Kent State skipped straight to day two.
The top two teams from each session in round two advance to round three. The top two teams from each semifinal in round three advance to the national finals. The winner of the national finals is crowned the national champion.

Huge meet this week at Arkansas - both teams are battling it out for last place in the conference (and for the last spot in the SEC Championship tournament)

Very good first rotation on bars. Looks like we are dropping a 9.8.

98.725 after 2. Headed to floor.

Great floor rotation for Bama. Meet of the year through three.

Meet of the year on the road with the SEC tourney on the line. Good for them.

Why are the stands so empty?

That had to be warmups. Crowd was loud they called the hogs. And really loud during Arky’s great floor exercises.
