Staff gave grades as the reason. Could be they just used that as an excuse to make room for someone else. Or could be they think he's not going to qualify and don't want to waste a spot on him when we can use it next year.

The last few updates on both Williams and Smith were that their grades were good as long as they finished this semester with passing grades.

Then why the greyshirt offer? He'd be taking a spot in next year's class if he accepted.

They could ask him not to sign and maybe go to prep school for 1 semester like Brandon Hill did.
Basically I'm looking for a reason to believe what they told him is true. Otherwise it's pretty shitty to force a guy out right before NSD to make room and then lie about the reason why. Plus, I haven't seen anything to indicate we have a chance to add anyone tomorrow besides Evans

We would know if hsi grades are good enough before he enrolled though

So Auburn's 247 site is reporting Alabama is trending and both staffs think it's a toss up for Evans.

Bone is reporting that Florida State told Rudolph a few weeks ago that they weren't going to take Ermon Lane. We all know he is signing with them tomorrow.
Rudolph has since been calmed down, but I wonder what he will do if they land Dupre?

Bone also said that we are waiting on Thomas and Evans.
Evans has not informed either staff of his intentions as of this afternoon, but should do so tonight. He announces at 10 CST tomorrow morning.
