Sign him up on name alone.

Yep, you'd think maybe there'd be interest, but I guess not.

You can get competent FBs a dime a dozen as walk-ons. They have to be amazing as a runner to warrant a legit offer. And even then, players like Daniel Gresham gets his scholarship pulled despite being one of the best power runners in this class.
They aren't worth it to coaches anymore. You can make mostly anything a FB for no scholarship...

Fowler was a great RB in high school, that's what initially got him the bama offer. His HS film was sick.

I figured we'd at least talk to him about walking on here though. If we offered him a scholly it'd only be because we had one to spare, but I'd like a plan at FB after Fowler is gone. One or two guys currently on the roster who could maybe do it.

I think it' more likely we move a guy like Walker Jones or Dakota ball to fullback than giving one a scholarship. Jones specifically is a good athlete with the right frame that's buried behind more talented guys on the depth chart at linebacker.
Then again Kiffin may not even implement a fullback

Randomly going down the FB rankings and finding someone from Alabama does not quantify interest from Bama. Doesn't even look like the guy is going to college.
He's not even the best FB prospect on his team, LSU wanted Deshaun Davis as a FB before Auburn took him as a LB.

Probably Dupree brother or something. I think he's the same person in the pic that Humphrey took, people were saying that was Ardarius Stewart..

This is a post I made a week or two ago about FB and Fowler.
Oddly enough, Jones and McCarron both already have FB numbers. Anderson's number could work but Dickerson would need a new number.

If Kiffin wants a FB, after Jalston Fowler the best four options in my mind would be Walker Jones, Ryan Anderson, Josh Dickerson then Corey McCarron.

Good options. Wouldn't mind Anderson there if it doesn't work out at LB.

#41 Kurt Freitag seems like he could be a option also.

True except that he has yet to show the power or mentality to blow up a LB at the point of attack.

I think it would be cool to see mccarron get a spin at FB

Anybody know how FSU folks feel about Marlon at this point? Marlon going to UA after his official probably isn't the best sign for them.

They still think they are "in it" but it is much more subdued now that Pruitt is gone. They are pointing to the relationship with the FSU track coaches as the thing that is keeping them in it. Josh Newberg, FSU insider who crystal balled Humphrey to FSU, said that he was tempted to change his CB prediction after the UAAA game based on how much he was with our commits instead of theirs. Newberg said Pruitt leaving did them no favors in that regard.
