That's good to hear. Would love to have him in Crimson. And he's needed.

Apparently he beat Bo in a dunking contest at Saban's house this morning.

He looks pretty tall next to the Sanchise. He's gotta be 6'4". Anybody know if he has a profile out there? How old is he?

I keep feeling more and more confident about Evans.

But I do have some questions.

Why does Nick Saban have a basketball goal at his house? I guess I can see ole coach teaching the young bloods how to get buckets.

Granted, they could have just used something else instead of a goal.

Or someone could have brought one or some shite.

Miller/Evans off the edges, they're too fast, what's Jeremy Johnson gonna do?!
I really would love to finally have a pass rush. With A'shawn and Frazier/Elam shutting down the run, that defense would be beastly. A couple of shutdown corners and it would be unfair.

The Alabama football staff plays epic pickup basketball games according to people in the know. Saban hates losing.

Coach Kiffin's first one must have been exciting.

Saban: Ight, shirts and skins. New guy against everyone, ight?

Kiffin: That doesn't seem fair. At least give me one partner.

Saban: One partner for your skins team? Ight, Layla get in here.

Gonna let the 48 hr high wear off before I make a more definitive statement on Evans......but our staff received VERY good feedback from both he and his family today.

I'd pay good money to see this go down.

"This weekend was my first chance to get to meet Coach Kiffin. They had the parents over at Coach Saban's house. It was too much fun. We had a really good time. We sang 'Sweet Home Alabama'," said Donetris Scarbrough, the mother of 5-star prospect and Alabama commit, Bo Scarbrough.

quote:

"I think if you're new there, you have to do karaoke. It's kind of the theme with the new coaches. Everyone has to do a karaoke night. It was his turn and he kept on hiding. He told me, 'I think I'll go on ahead and do it, if you sing with me.' He told me it would make it easier and be fun. We tried to figure out what song we would do first. He said 'come on up here and do it with me, I don't want to do it by myself.'"

Kiffin's rendition of the Lynyrd Skynyrd hit went over quite well with all in attendance.

"It made the night. It was the talk of the night," laughed Scarbrough.
