I still get the feeling MH does not favor UA and from that article I think his father is not pushing UA either.
I don't think Bobby would upstage his son by saying FSU is out.
We are fine.

TS, You still feel strong about Elam?quote:
Yes. I think he would have gone to Kentucky if he had announced at the Army AA game.

Yep, got 4 games for it.

Yeah but Green was already in school.. Or does that not make a difference?

AJ sold it himself. If Elam gave it to someone, they are free to sell it.

Didn't know Elam gave it to someone.

No. Green sold his UGA jersey that he wore in their bowl game. He was already an athlete on scholarship at a SEC school.
Elam is a high school kid that may or may not be selling something that has no connection to to the NCAA.
Big difference.

That doesn't matter. The NCAA amateurism rules apply to HS kids who want to play in the NCAA too. The difference here, as I stated, is Elam gave the item away. Its the same as if a current player gave you some memorabilia and you sold it for your own profit.

I don't think it works like that. They were given to him.
Just like I don't think a player will get in trouble if he sells the iPod he was given in a bowl suite. It's his. He can do what he wants to with it.

Pretty sure you would get in trouble for that.

I think Trey is right. He's capitalizing on his athlete status monetarily. No longer an amatuer

I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for it. You've seen these kids getting off the bus on gamedays. They've already got $300 Beats. What the hell are they gonna do with another iPod besides sell it?

I sold a used baseball glove once. Who would've thought that was the reason I never made it to the big leagues.

Plus you run into the problem of a "booster" that is willing to give you 500$ more than anyone else would as a way to give you money.

Forgot to mention that Rashaan Evans moved up to #11 overall in the final rankings.

Evans on what he is looking for on his upcoming OVs to Bama and Auburn:
quote:
"With the official visits coming up I would say I am really probably just looking forward to the one-on-one time with the coaches. Actually seeing the game plan and seeing how they would use me. That's going to play a big role to me on the school I want to commit to."
quote:
"Really right now I think I've seen everything I needed to see just with the campus and also with the relationships I've built with the guys, with the players and the coaches," he said. "To be honest with you it's going to come down to if I feel good at the school really based off the feeling. If it feels right. I guess that's really all I can go by. All the things I have to find out I've found out.
quote:
"I really don't have a definite leader," Evans said. This whole thing right now it's kind of overwhelming. Like I said just going to take my time right now, not really put out a leader. To be honest with you I may have a leader, after all of my visits. I think I got to take those visits. Those visits will really be the deciding factor to be honest with you.

DO WANT.
He says he compares his game to DeMarcus Ware. You know, the Jack LBer. We want him as a Jack, whereas Auburn wants him to play their Rover safety role.

why the frick would they want him as a rover? they should put him opposite of Lawson and unleash hell on QBs
