The coach is a damn good recruiter and kids choosing to not go to Bama isn't proof of, and doesn't imply impropriety.

Chatt I would think having a new and exciting program would cause people to build depth in their recruiting classes. I would think a great recruiter like Freeze would have more than just 5 top 250 players would you not?

So let's pretend that Miss State fires Dan Mullen and brings in a coach that nobody knows. They suddenly start pulling in five star kids that the big programs were after, often times late in the recruitment when they weren't mentioned as a possibility for the longest time. Would you chalk it up to having a new and exciting program? What would be your response?
That is the mind blowing thing about this. This kids have no interest whatsoever in the school until late December/January and all of a sudden they've lost interest in schools they've targeted for years. It is just strange.
It's like if CJ commits to Ole Miss today, then late January decommits and commits to Mullen and MSU. Without a visit, without showing any interest, just out of the blue. Would that be just great recruiting?

You would think a damn good recruiter could pull quality depth in a class. Their classes are no different than the ones under Nutt just with a few wtf additions late in the process.

Here is to hoping we get Hampton.

But CJ Hampton was already committed to Ole Miss for months. That's a terrible analogy.

I wouldn't say he underachieved this season.

I think he was referring to the late action on Hootie.

It is perfect analogy. Hootie has been committed to picking two teams for over a year LSU and Alabama. The thought of Ole Miss has never been a serious option no differently MSU with Hampton.
If CJ were to decommit from Ole Miss late January then commit to MSU what would you think? Soran?

I'm done talking about kids who aren't going to commit to us. I'd rather they figure out it's not for them now than being a blinking light later. Let's get the positive discussion going:
-Who are some safeties we go after? I'm wondering if Tabor could move over to safety. If Williams qualifies he can be a cornerback. I've heard some Eddie Jackson comparisons. It's altogether possible we could find someone at the last minute to fulfill either safety or cornerback.
-I'm really excited about Wallace as an oline prospect. He could be the steal of this class. Hope we get him on board soon.
-Humphrey is the make or break recruit. If we can get back to island corners by his sophomore year, we can dedicate safeties more for run support and we can bring more blitzes.

I'm in full cynical mode.
I'll get excited when commits.

I hope he isn't, because he seems really enamored with FSU.

An idiot, huh? What has this place turned into Tidefan where if I disagree with you I'm not a real fan? What is most funny is I haven't said anything negative about our staff, players or team.
Get lost.

"Turned into" ha it's been that way... High and mighty Alabama grad with a 2.0 in fine arts, and calls you an "side walk fan" like you shouldn't have a opinion, typical rant behavior.

I'd be disappointed but such is recruiting.
