Super competitive evening USA practice/scrimmage. Wendell Carter, Michael Porter, Collin Sexton all having some nice moments. No NBA scouts.

Collin Sexton has the perfect mentality to thrive in a gym filled with NBA execs. Not afraid of the moment. Impressing with vision so far.

Elite guard prospect Collin Sexton getting shots up post practice. Greatly improved shooter.

Ummmm.....

That's Dedric and KJ Lawson

eta: I'm putting it at about a 99% chance of it meaning nothing but just thought it was funny to see this pop up on my twitter after all the speculation today

It means nothing. It's an edit made by RollTideDesigns on Instagram

LOL I read the comment under that pic. He thinks they're going to Bama. Nothing has been announced. It's just an edit

Yeah the only reason I posted it was because I saw a Memphis guy post it. I mean they do look good in Crimson and white...

The only bad thing about getting them is that rules out Bamba (even though there's probably no chance at landing him). I guess we could take Avery Jr off a scholarship for Bamba and use the other 2 spots for the Lawson bros

Not sure if this has been posted: Avery Johnson talks offseason, 2017-18 Bama hoops team

eta: Spends last few minutes talking about his meetings with new AD.

Avery: "I'm curious to see what's next in terms of Coleman Coliseum"

Thanks for posting.

Also, Greg Byrne posted a video on twitter of Bryant Denny and said he was doing a facilities tour of the campus. Don't know if he got to Coleman yet but that should be very soon. Hoping he'll make an announcement of a new plan for an arena or either some serious upgrades/changes to Coleman

Yea how does that affect this year if they have to sit out?

We have 2 spots open. We can sign the Lawson bros, they'll sit out the 2017-18 season and be eligible to play the 2018-19 season. They'll still be able to practice with this year's team tho.

Is that what you're asking?

While it would be nice to have your cake and eat it too, taking the Lawson brothers > Bamba on their own.

Then to add the cherry on top, their youngest brother Chandler is a likely 5* in 2019

You may be right, it would just be really hard to pass on Bamba.

Not like we have a realistic chance at Bamba tho

Guess we aren't interested...

For all of our talk about transfers, there's been little indication that we are even looking to add anyone

A Kentucky writer said on twitter their chances of landing Johnson are very good

Are we seriously not recruiting anyone? What are we gonna do with the 2 open spots?

I mean I'd think that we have to be looking for at least one player. It's still early though.

I think the plan was to sit on the one open spot, but since Davis decided to transfer it change everything. Maybe they are working behind the scenes. If we can muster through the year, I'd just take the two Memphis transfers.
