I'd be ok with that too.

but I don't see any reason to not take a grad transfer who will be gone after one season.

Most grad transfers aren't looking to transfer in and sit on bench with their last year. If they are okay with that, they aren't someone you want anyways

It also takes away the flexibility to take midyear transfers

Which doesn't often happen anyways. I'd be surprised if we really weren't looking at any grad transfers.

No we we are set lol...we are going to have problems down low. Hall has to learn how to play without fouling.

Wonder why? Did his dad leave? On another note I'd take Nichols and all his BS in a heart beat.

Have no clue why. I'm guessing he's Auburn bound now

I think he has a North Carolina offer too. I bet he'll go there instead of Auburn

Almost everyone on 247 CB him to UNC before he committed to MSU

Yeah that's where he'll likely go then

I'm still confused as to why we wouldn't add anyone especially a grad transfer for one year.

I think it helps us with Robert Woodard that it looks like Brooks isn't Miss State bound. Woodard's the best player I think we have a legitimate shot at in the 2018 class.

Only thing I can think of is he feels good enough about our team and wants to reward Schaffer with a scholarship

You have to remember that's exactly what Antoine Pettway did. Started as a walk on and earned a scholarship. He may be telling Avery to give the last one to Lawson.

Last I saw he is turning pro. Plus he had a partying problem at Memphis and UVA, he'd probably die at Bama then.

Lawson deserves a scholarship. Not saying we should or should not give him the one available this year, but he's helped us a ton in practice and in games. We would've lost that game against Ole Miss if it weren't for him coming in and giving us a spark. Our team was dead and the crowd was dead that game, and he came in and lit it up. Again, I'm not saying I'm in favor one way or another. But saying don't give Lawson anything isn't right.
