Both. It’s way early, but we seem to be very high on him. Plus getting him on campus so early should help.

6'6 Birmingham AL kid too. Saw his highlights since we were rumored to have made contact, the kid looked good with 3 years to play

I wouldn't worry, the only school other than us that trendon has a long relationship with is Indiana. But you're right Memphis is a circus

Well they WERE a clown show. Apparently a lot of recruits want to play for Penny, and Memphis can be a basketball school again with the right coach. I doubt he’ll have any chance with Watford, but he’s definitely gonna pull in some good recruits there I think

They may want to play for him but he needs to prove he can coach , otherwise the glitz and dazzle of a name will wear off quickly. I also wonder if penny will eventually catch a little karma after he repeatedly undermined tubbys recruiting efforts

I agree that Penny will sign a couple of good classes before people realize what a ridiculous hire that was. I would think Watford would have enough people around him to advise him about what a terrible idea going to Memphis would be.

If Memphis can pull off Wiseman, Chandler Lawson and one more top recruit, he won't have to coach.
With that talent alone, just rolling out the basketballs should be enough to get to 25+ Wins in the AAC. Last year alone, they played some 24-25 games against opponents outside the top 100 Kenpom rankings
If Hardaway wins 25 games, be prepared to have his greatness shoved down our throats regardless of how crappy the opponents are or how little he actually coached
