none of those guys are near ready and any scout would tell them the same thing
And they'd also give them some helpful advice as they get in quality work against talent of their level or higher. No one is saying they're all ready for the NBA...

Wtf you talking about? No player going to the combine or max 1 NBA team workout has to pay for sh**

I don't think talent to play on the league is an issue for any of those 3. Working out would help but it benefits them just as much to play together this summer and improve. They all know the scouts are watching them ...herb especially having the most upside.

What NBA process that retains eligibility have you been going through?
The combine is only 5 days long and not when Alabama classes are in session (between Spring/Summer semesters).

These aren't mutually exclusive ideas. Assuming they do their "NBA training" for a potential combine invite + NBA team visit at Alabama, they are missing only about 5 days of playing together max

It's possible they already got feedback thru Avery's contacts. He said unless there's a transfer in may he doesn't anticipate any departures. It's just a guess that maybe they had already decided to not test the waters .

Let me consolidate my above posts into one explaining how your poitns make no sense
For players wishing to retain their eligibility:
- NCAA allows the NBA to cover all costs attending the combine
- Combine is not during any academic classes at Alabama, players don't miss any school
- NCAA allows only 1 NBA team workout and allows 48 hrs of expenses to be covered if player does not miss class

On another subject, I saw the latest mock from NBA draft.net and Collin is projected #10 overall to Philly. Talk about a great situation for him to walk into if that happens. Like to know u guys' opinions.

I'd be shocked if they haven't. That isn't the same as stacking up side by side at the combine etc with every NBA team scouts available

Declaring for the draft isn't a departure, not withdrawing by the deadline is

Just getting an all expense paid combine invite or team workout is special and is not guaranteed to be an opportunity next go round. Even if I knew 100% a kid was coming back to school, I would hope he took advantage.
I mean, it literally has almost zero negative impact to the schools + us fans for a kid to "test the waters"

Well Bama did have a pro day in preseason so I imagine the scouts got all the measurables ,etc that they need for now. Over 200 scouts attended our games this year so my guess is they know who to keep eyes on next year.

I disagree, I think it would be one of the worst landing spots for Sexton.
The 76ers are a team of unreal talented, inconsistent to poor shooting, ball dominant players who consider themselves PGs (Fultz/Simmons) or want to be point guards (Embiid.. seriously).
Hard to iamgine the 76ers are drafting yet another player that fits that description to be their 6th man

Good point in those respects...I Guess Cleveland or NY are probably better fits if I really think about it. Knick fans seem high on him.

I'd think the best case scenario for Sexton is if PHX were to trade up from their #15 and snag him + Deandre Ayton at #1
Not only does PHX need a PG, That would pair Sexton with an elite shooter (Booker), great young wings (Jackson/Warren) and an elite post player (Ayton)

That's cause Knicks fans are stupid and don't realize Frank Ntilikina is going to end up being a good NBA point guard. Maybe their management is so intent on cleaning house that they don't give him a shot though
CLE only makes sense if Lebron leaves. Not sure why you'd draft Sexton to be a catch and shoot player

Cleveland and NY have been most likely landing spots, phoenix would be smart to do what u suggested. Chicago was a possibility until Paxon came out and endorsed Cam Payne , so I think that's off the board.

I've seen that they may view Frankie N's future at SG. If that's the case, NY is a great option for Sexton.
NYK aren't nearly as dysfunctional as it once was. They will finally have their cap under control after contracts fall off next season + they have a lot of potential with Por3ingus & Ntilikina

Correct alot of them do view Frank as a SG long term and you're right in that they seem to have found a clue in how to build within the organization.

Anybody know anything about him?
Posted on 4/15/18 at 4:44 pm to CrimsonTider98
He’s a 6 foot 8 Russian PF who would need a lot of work with Coach DeNeen. Probably would redshirt. Not many people know about him right now. Bama just found him I think.
