I see your point. I'm not saying I think he'll play significantly this year, and a redshirt probably wouldn't be a bad option. I just expected him to be about the level of Moussa Gueye or the Swede his freshman year and need a good bit of time to be able to do much of anything. He was just more athletic than I thought he would be and I think has good potential to develop in to a decent player for us down the road.

That being said, I hope he does well in his career. I grew up on the other side of Jackson from him so I'm always more partial to Mississippi players (was pumped when Pollard signed a few years ago and loved me some Jimmy Johns and Kevin Norwood). Could also be the reason I was more impressed with him haha

Is SMU going to be significantly worse this year? They were very good last year but lost their Duke transfer to the NBA. They still have Shake Milton though.

Did you really care that much to bookmark it?

I mean that goes beyond normal hype

I didn't bookmark it, but I knew what I was searching for on the SECr. My ability to remember completely pointless stuff is uncanny.....

Unfortunately my ability to remember functional/useful things not so good

Didn't mean for the comment to come off as snarky. I was just trying to point out that we're going to have people over hype him because we're not used to having players like him.

I don't want to read too much into a preseason game but I'd be lying if I said that didn't make me feel good.

SMU went 30-5 last year. Even if they lost some players and drop off some this year, they will probably still be a good team. Them having to go into OT with McGill and barley winning really surprised me. And then to look at how bad we beat McGill is just crazy

I put very little stock in it but Alabama basketball has hardened my soul.

So... it appears there will still be no way to watch the game tonight. Has anyone heard any differently? It's a damn shame nobody can set up a camera and connect it to the internet in this day and age. The Alabama media continues to drop the ball as far as basketball goes.

To be fair I don't most preseason international games have an official stream. Here's a link to live stats for the game LINK

Hopefully someone will Periscope the game.

Check with @theBenFoster on twitter tonight. He said yesterday he might stream it but wouldn't make any promises. He streamed the McGill-Bama game for us while the official stream wasn't working the other day

Well, I'm not trying to be fair. I'm just trying to get what I want.

But, it's just Canada. It's not like they're playing in Zimbabwe. And, with today's technology, we should be past this point. The damn Carleton people should at least set up something like the other two teams are doing.

Yeah, I watched some of that. I appreciate his effort. It was better than nothing.

If this was Alabama football playing in Canada tonight, we'd have a stream and no problems with connecting to it. That's just how it is at Alabama

I read somewhere that a Canadian broadcast company has exclusive rights to their games, so Carleton isn't allowed to set up a stream. Whoever owns the rights would have to.

I think our media might be allowed to set up a stream in the US, but of course none of them are up there.

It's sad. But it's the truth. No way our University would sit at home and say "Oh well" like they're doing with basketball.

This is what I saw. Depending on what broadcast restrictions means, there might not have been much our department could do.
