UGA was considered a top contender for his signature. The timing of that hire may not be coincidental...

I wonder if Avery sees Herb playing as a large guard. Seems like we're going after a lot of small forwards.

Seems like the wing is pretty much interchangeable in college IMO so it shouldn't matter unless you need another primary ball handler. Mack was a top 100 guy so that's good bit didn't he get suspended twice and that's why he is leaving Texas?

What was macks three point percentage. Looking at his highlights from high school and college that looks like all he can do. Doesn't look like he can get his own shot.

Yea I'd rather have someone else other than Mack. Suspended because team rules to the point you have to leave the team. Last thing we need is another guy on the team that we are depending on bit stays suspended.

Slightly above 39% from 3 last year. He showed some serious improvement in his overall game last season. If he can keep himself in line, he has the potential to be very good.

Summary of the article;
-Key still hasn't decided
-Armond is back
-Recruiting Tevin Mack
-Not recruiting any grad transfers, will look into it if Key leaves
-Simon did a good job here but Avery decided he wouldn't renew the contract
-Rosemond was the perfect fit. Now have a dynamic duo in recruiting.
-Staff is complete, but looking to hire a consultant for basketball.
-Summer tour is official. 3 games in Canada starting August 2nd. 2 games in Ottawa, 1 in Montreal.
-Non-conference schedule is being worked on. If Avery can get a couple of games finalized, it could be "one of the best non-conference schedules we’ve seen around here in a long time."
-2017 class should be on campus May 28th.
-Need to stay competitive in the future in an improving SEC whether that be with recruiting or facilities.

Can't believe we aren't going after any grad transfers. Thought we needed another big at least.

They must think our freshmen will be able to contribute some

I thought this was possibly the most interesting part of the discussion about Rosemond

He has some very strong connections overseas that can help open up our recruiting in that way.

Same here. Especially considering we haven't even sniffed an international prospect in the 3 recruiting cycles that CAJ has been a part of. Perhaps he saw what Frank Martin has done with a couple of his guys.

Avery coached maybe the best international player ever in Dirk. Also, Retin has probably been the best player Avery's had here. I expect we'll try to reach into Europe.

The Summer Tour could not come in a better year because of all the new pieces coming in.
