So is our 2016 class finished now? We have Braxton and Armond and that's it. Bruno signed with SMU, Ferg named his top 6 and we weren't in it. The ONLY other player I've even seen mentioned on BOL is Kalif Young and he's a 3 star C who is ranked like 312. Youngs not really SEC caliber talent, I wouldn't think. Do y'all see a 2 man class as good or disappointing? They're 2 very good players tho

We aren't done. They'll bring in a couple more people through the transfer market.

Yeah. I was kind of confused on if those players actually count towards our 2016 class ranking. But Armond is a JUCO player and he counts so I guess that makes sense

They won't count towards a class ranking, but who cares? Just bring in more good players.

Buddy hield was a three star player...this isn't football when it comes to rankings. Our best player last year was a three star as well.

Oh yeah I know. Idc about the ranking. I just didn't know how that worked

Retin didn't really have a star ranking on most sites because he wasn't playing ball in the states. I actually think rankings matter much more in basketball than in football. Sure there are some players that slip through the cracks ranking-wise (Hield, Curry, etc.), but I feel the rankings are more consistently accurate in basketball than they are in football.

For the top few guys yea but its a lot more guys that get rated low because they don't have the athleticism as the top guys but are just better pure basketball players

quote:True. Its not so much slip through the cracks as it is players developing. Coming out of high school a 3* ranking was probably correct, but with time and proper development you get what you see in guys like Hield, Curry, Adam Morrison, etc. These guys had great potential and that isn't listed in the scouting report. Guys like Westbrook, Durant, KG, Paul Pierce, Kobe, Ray Allen and others were can't miss because the possessed everything they needed to play at a high level coming out of high school and they still had the potential to grow.

Got to love that 3 point percentage though

Julian Walters is a name to add. He's a Juco from North Dakota State College of Sciences (or something like that) that lead the nation in 3 pt %. 5'11" PG with a pretty good assist-to-TO ration and had a lot of steals. No profile on the major sites, but that's probably because he just emerged. He's recently began following our assistants on twitter. 51% 3pt shooter. Yes, please!

I'd be happy just to add anyone honestly

Looks like a really good prospect. If you can shoot like that, you can play almost anywhere.

I saw a guy on Twitter compare Katin to JR Smith saying that he isn't scared to jack it up from anywhere.
Quite frankly, I want him to come here just for that. He's a good sized guy too.
Experienced. I don't care if he's been to 2 schools already. We need a guy like that now to jump start our program.
